Can you do like Hobie smut, your writing is GOOD.
Let it be a jealousy kinda thing I haven't seen much of Hobie being jealous
‘I’ll Show You Jealous’
Hobie Brown aka Spider-Punk x female spider-woman reader. (he calls her ‘webs’)
Trope; best friends to lovers
Warnings; 18+ Smut! NSFW. Jealous sex, it starts quite rough then ends soft. Hobie being Hobie- but jealous ;) slight fingering.. mostly smut y’all .
Summary: Being best friends shouldn’t have any feelings in between right? Especially jealousy when Hobie thinks your hanging around too close to a certain Spider-Man? What does it take for him to come to terms on how he ‘really’ feels?
Authors note; My favorite anon!! I’m sorry it took me a few days to get this out, but I’m glad to say it’s all yours now! I hope you like it, I’ve never written for Hobie before!! Enjoy love!!🫶🏼🌻
You see? That’s why I think you’re one of the funniest! You’re hilarious and you get my humor!”
An effortless chuckle left your lips as your hand slipped off of Ben Riley’s back, where it had been first when you patted it.
You two had just come back from a short mission, which was as per usual… putting an anomaly where it belonged, and making sure canon took place as it should. Hobie stood in the distance watching you both communicate so freely and happily, like if you had been best friends, like you were with Hobie. I mean, that’s all you too should of been.. best friends.
But in the pit of his stomach and behind his tough and sarcastic behavior about not liking commitment, all he wanted to do was commit his life to you, and make you more than his ‘best friend’. The only thing was.. he didn’t know how to tell or show you. So painfully he witnessed you give away your laughter and touch to someone else, if not others that weren’t him. So to avoid staring at this heartbreak, he went back to his universe.
Soon you had let Ben go and looked for the one that made you smile the biggest, warm your heart, and give you a certainty of safety and care no matter what crazy shit you two did. But, he was no where to be seen. A frown made it to your lips after you had checked everywhere, you even went up to Miguel’s lair to check if Hobie wasn’t lurking around and stealing his lunch- and yet, he wasn’t there. You sat for a minute and thought that maybe he went home, but… he always waited for you to come back from a mission, so you could eat together and go on a short ‘joy swinging’ across the universes.
Hoping you’d find him at his universe, you clicked on your gizmo and went to his place, falling in love with the aesthetic of it all as you arrived, and it reminding you of every detail about Hobie too. You swung around his home- he wasn’t there. At his favorite hideout clubhouse- he wasn’t there. Even stopped by the stand where he usually took a sweet bread or two without being seen- he wasn’t in sight. Finally stopping to take a break, you thought for a few seconds before it clicked for you.
“What the hell… where could you- oh! I know.”
What concerned you though about the place where he could possibly be, was the fact that you told each other that you’d go there if something was wrong or ‘a talk’ needed to happen, meaning it was very serious.
Upon arriving to the tallest skyscraper in your universe, you let out a sigh of relief as you found him there, playing a soft tune on his guitar.
You walked slowly towards him, knowing he’d feel your presence, as his spider senses would tell him immediately. You slid off your mask as you called out,
“Hobie?-“
Hobie’s shoulders tensed as he muttered immediately,
“Jus’ leave me be… please?”
Worry but you as you heard him, his slightly broken voice,
He’s never told you to leave him alone, instead the opposite, always subtly begging you to be around his presence, whether it was him lurking around with your favorite snack, or playing your favorite songs on his guitar. Hobie was smart, he found out ways to keep you around that didn’t include him actually telling or asking you to be… and so far it has worked like magic.
It was your smile that had him loosening up, the little squeals you let out when Mayday was being extra adorable, puppy eyes at the sight of kittens or his favorite of all time, your mere presence that gave him motive to fall for you.
With you he felt free and safe, he knew he’d give up an entire universe if that meant he could be with you. But lately as you’ve been given more privileges, you’ve been a little too absent for his liking, and he didn’t appreciate how you were hanging around Miguel and Ben Riley more than him.
Trust was something you too have built quite strongly sense the start of your friendship, and he should’ve confided in that trust and believe that you haven’t ghosted him for someone else… yet here he was… sadly plucking on his guitar strings to your favorite tune- ‘Vigilante Shit’… thinking that maybe you have.. but here you are. Speaking out to him as if you were desperate for him.
“Hobie please, I can help-“
“How’d you know I’d be here?”
With a scoff you recalled your guys’ words,
“We said we’d come here for something important.. and today I couldn’t find you anywhere.. so I thought this would be the place.. and here you are. So, what’s wrong Hobie?”
He then stood up and mumbled to himself,
“It’s nothing, I shouldn’t of come.”
Your spider senses heard him clearly tho, so before he was about to walk off you genuinely said,
“Hobie.. you know I’m here for you. Regardless of what it is.”
Hobie turned to you and walked close, watching how you didn’t walk back but stayed in place as his sassed,
“Are you sure? Didn’t think you’d be after being with everyone else all the time.”
You sensed his words, and could feel the weight of jealousy in them, it only caused you to realize that he felt just as protective of you, as you did for him… but you hid your jealousy better. So you took the chance to tease him,
“Are you jealous Hobie Brown-“
Rolling his eyes and crossing his arms he pouted defensively,
“No. Absolutely not-“
You tried to tease him more as you pushed the guitar on his shoulder,
“Then what’s wrong? Looks like you are jealous-“
He sent a playful snap at you so you wouldn’t touch his treasure as he did his best to reassure,
“Tis’ nothin’ webs… I promise.”
His closed off attitude told you it was more than nothing, and you wouldn’t have it.. not his half or full lies about what’s going on. Hobie was about to walk away past you, but you grabbed his arm and insisted,
“Hobie! If you don’t do or say something about what’s going on with you I will explo- MMPH!!”
His warm hands got a hold of your face, pressing a harsh kiss to your lips. Eyes going wide open at the shock his actions caused you, but you couldn’t pull yourself away.
Not when you could see the way he had his shut with force, and the how his long lashes that you were always jealous of brush over his cheeks… you couldn’t deny how much you loved every detail about him. Your heart fluttered at the feeling of the cool of his nose ring press up against your nose, and his soft breathing hitting you, his lip ring marking a place on your lip as he gave you a bruising kiss.
You didn’t realize how long it took you admiring what you’ve always loved about him before you reciprocated the kiss, brining him closer to you by the collar of his jacket. But he slightly pushed you away, and before you could interpret something wrong, he muttered against your lips,
“you think I’m jealous webs?”
With a short chuckle you replied with sass,
“I think you’re very jealous Hobie.”
He smirked and webbed you your hands in an instant, your eyes found his with matching glares, filled with desire. He then put you to lay on the edge of the building, your head leaning off as he growled,
“I’ll show you jealous.”
With expert hands he was able to find your hidden zipper and slide down your pants along with your panties, enough to free your cunt for him to touch. Your hands as they were webbed up, hung off the edge, dangling down, stretching you a bit. Hobie pulled you close to him by gripping your thighs tightly, then he tore the web off your wrists with the pick for his guitar.
You were just about to reach for him, but he pushed you back once again, and laying his pick between your teeth as he ordered,
“Love, you keep that there safe for me.. and these hands.. hold onto the edge… don’t touch me until I tell you.. understood?”
You nodded once, taking all his commands in, wanting to meet them all, but Hobie hovered his face over yours and asked calmly,
“Words love.. do you feel ok and safe?”
You knew if you had a problem with something he’d adjust the universe to your liking, but right now you felt good and desperation. So you worded with the pick in between,
“I feel goo’.. I just wan’ you… I nee’ you.”
Pressing a hard kiss to your lips, feeling his favorite metal pick touch him, it stirred him on to take you now. His fingers found your cunt and stuck two in, going knuckle deep as your were soaking and taking him smoothly. With pride he watched your face contort in pleasure, the most beautiful moans leaving your lips because of him.
Your chest heaved for air as he pumped harder and faster, wanting you to come apart by his hands. The beauty of the city lights below you couldn’t compare to you, you were far too bright and gorgeous, so many things at once you were and yet, you were the most fit and complete person he had ever seen.
Your walls squeezed around his fingers, informing him you were near as your moans turned into cries as well. He teased you a bit as he slowed the pace, hearing you cry for ‘him’ had him groan and feeling his pants tighten more.
“H-Hobie! Ah please! Please-“
“What do you want love-“
“More! More please..”
Your eyes teared up as you cried for him, wanting to feel more of him as he had spurred on your high then took it away. He sucked on his fingers, letting out a moan,
“Sweet as always love.. never doubted you..”
Hobie then kissed your face, letting you taste yourself on him as he took the pick from your lips and he unbuckled his pants, sliding them down as he worded to you,
“C’mere love.”
Latching onto him as your arms wrapped around him, he pulled you up into his lap, sitting where you were at the edge, while looking up to you as your face was almost right at his. You both were breathing hard as you ran your hands through his hair and rested the other on his neck, Hobie’s hands exploring your back and thighs while kissing your neck. It was an all new sensation you both felt, not wanting to end it and growing addicted by the second. Hobie’s cock rested between your thighs, hitting his stomach and leaking precum, it had you reaching for it and playing with the red tip. He pulled you in for a kiss as you began to take him into your hands. His hips bucked up as your hands slid up and down his large length, spreading his cum and rubbing the tip with your thumb. He was getting to his high not so slowly, your hands bringing him on faster than he thought, so he abruptly stopped you with a pleading voice,
“Please love, need to feel you.. ready?”
You were already lifting your hips over his tip as you responded,
“I’m so ready.”
It wasn’t long before you slid down on him, your soaked walls taking him in right away. Once he bottomed out you both knew deep down, that you wouldn’t last long.
He was so deep, his tip touching your cervix, Hobie picked you up as he gripped your thighs tightly, then he slid you back down, groaning into your lips at the pleasure he instantly felt. Hobie didn’t care and wasn’t afraid of the position he was in, as he sat at the edge of the skyscraper, with you in his lap taking all of him. He confided in his strength to withhold you, and make you feel good more than anything. You than began to bounce on his cock, letting out whimper’s and mewls when you slid back down, feeling the stretch overtake you. Hobie helped you speed up as he took control and moved his hips to meet you at every thrust. Warmth began to seep into your core again, but burning more this time. You pulled Hobie closer to you as you begged,
“I need you more- please!”
“I know my love.. me too.”
Hobie needed the same, and fully take control, so he changed positions and laid you on your back, wrapping your legs around his waist. You held onto his hands as they were above your head, and took a deep breath as you prepared for what came. With locked gazes, Hobie pulled back and thrusted into you right away, loving how you responded to him so well by clenching around him and moaning his name. Little by little he picked up his speed, knowing you both needed your much needed release, warmth engulfing you both as well as a passion for more.
Hobie railed into you now as he asked in between pants,
“Who do you belong to love?”
Breathing out a moan when he hit a particular spot, you cried out,
“Y-You! You Hobie!!”
Letting go of your hand to hold your hips down with extra force, Hobie punctuated each word with a harsh thrust,
“You. Sure. Love?”
Hitting your cervix every time had your toes curling and backs arching to him while you whimpered,
“Yes!! I’m yours Hobie Brown!!”
You could feel him throb inside of your walls, as you clenched around him, nearing your release. Hobie could feel the release nearing too, your warm walls taking him in and milking his precum into you. Now all he desired in that moment was for you to let go for him, and only him. Increasing his speed and piercing his grip into you, Hobie demanded with a sweet but firm tone,
“Beg for me love.. t-tell me who it is that is making you co-come.”
Doing his best to hold on a bit longer, Hobie awaited your answer, pleading from his heart that it’d be soon as he wished to claim you already and paint your walls with him. You clawed his back and pulled him closer, kissing his earlobe you then panted and moaned into his ear,
“Only you can Hobie.. please- ahh! Make me come- please please Hobie!”
His jealousy for you along with a new unlocked sensation… possessiveness, had him wanting to here you beg more.
“Beg me to make you come-“
He then lowered his hand to your clit, and began to rub tight circles around your bud, urging you to cry out in a desperate tone, tears evident that you were desperate.
“-AHH!! Oh Hobie! Please- please baby make me cum! Only y-you can!! So p-please!!”
Letting out a deep breath Hobie moaned into your hair,
“Come my love, come wi’ me.”
Feeling him pulsate along with his sharp thrusts, had you coming undone under his arms, coating his cock with your juices. Hobie brought you in for a deep kiss when he came, swallowing yours and his moans as he then slowly rode out both of your highs, wanting it to last a little longer. He was the opposite from how he started, which was rough… but now he gave gentle strokes, only pulling away when you told him it was too sensitive now. You were both out of breath and pulling away at once to catch some air, your chests touching from how close you were but also how much air you were taking in. Hobie gave your forehead a short but meaningful kiss before pulling away, but instead you pulled him in for a hug, hiding your face in his neck as you reassured him,
“I’ll only and always be yours Hobie Brown.. I promise.”
Hobie squeezed you tight and was grateful for your embrace, and he ran his fingers through your hair, as he returned the promise,
“I’ll be yours too love.. forever.”
Your eyes twinkled, as he confessed,
“I’m sorry I never made it clear webs.. but I do love you… very much so.”
With a soft peck you replied,
“I love you too… I always have Hobie.”
In a silence you too held each other, satisfied with your actions, more in love and thriving for more days like this to come.
Maybe this love making session was unexpected and out of the blue for the both of you, but it felt so right, and so good. A little breeze of wind then brushed by, causing you to shiver a bit in Hobie’s arms, a second didn’t go by when he suggested,
“Let’s get us home yeah? Don’ want ya to get cold lovie…”
Carefully he helped you put back on your suit, being extra touchy but extremely gentle as he zipped you up (but he didn’t do this before taking a look at your- his cunt now dripping from his cum.
Soon you too helped Hobie with his pants, and getting his guitar safely back into his hold. Both slipping on your masks, you were ready to swing home, but your legs were a little to wobbly for your liking. Hobie caught the slight stumble before holding you up and telling you,
“I’ll carry you home.. on my back lovie.”
With you tightly secured around him, he took off and swung towards home, going through the city so you could have the last look of the city night lights… as he knew it was one of your favorite parts of being Spider-Woman. Efficiently he swung by a stand full of flowers, plucking one off and easily giving it to you, a smile made it to your face as the rose was given to you with a brush of his hands touching yours. You blushed hard like if it was the first time he touched you, and hadn’t just made love to you on the tallest building of your city.
You never felt fear as you embraced him with the rose in your hand tightly. You trusted Hobie’s skills as you had seen them be incredibly strong and capable of much, while swinging he’d collect something he’d like and hand it to you.. so far you have 3 different flowers and a lollipop. Hobie had sticky fingers.. but you didn’t mind it, he wasn’t selfish with his findings.
It didn’t take long when you finally arrived at your balcony, he made sure your feet were flat on the ground before letting you go. Walking into your dark home didn’t feel lonely and filled with void like before, now you held Hobie’s hand tight as you led him to your room, wordlessly telling him you really wanted him to stay the night, if not forever. You both jumped into the shower wanting it to be quick, your night having been long and you both were craving to lay down in one another’s arms. Hobie’s hands never left your body as he helped you scrub down, he never looked at you like you’re a piece of meat.. but as if you were such a treasure to behold. It didn’t matter about your battle scars or the shape of you, he was now addicted and more in love. You treated Hobie the same way, wanting to show him that you indeed wanted him and him only, asking him questions about how he does his hair and wanting to memorize his steps to keep his styled hair in tact (as you loved how his hair looked) Drying off in fluffy towels, and sharing the air-blow dryer, you too were soon ready for bed. Hobie lifted you up from the thighs and carried you in, laying you down gently and pecking your lips all so romantically, before plopping himself on top of you. A breathy groan left your lips as he cuddled into your stomach, acting innocent and slightly ignoring how he had dropped onto you. He made sure he was in a good spot, not wanting his hair to be in your face, but close enough where you can rub his head. Soft kisses were given on your tummy as he worded again and again, softly yet possessively,
“You’re mine.. all mine. This body, your heart… you. Right baby?”
You could never say no.
“Yes baby.. all yours.. all of me.”
He smiled to himself as he lastly cooed,
“I love you..”
His chest warmed up as he heard your reply,
“I love you more..”

* This story is inspired by the song "Losing You" by Dream Evil.
It was quite the struggle to train with Ben for a week, especially when he took it extremely seriously and pushed you to the very limit. It was not that he hurt you; it was that in the lab you either lost your will to fight or you just got really weak.
There were moments when you stated to Ben that things might get serious about your power, but he chose to ignore you and aggravated the training, which left you worn out. But you were relieved that he could, in his own irritating way, encourage you that your strength was still there.
Ben answered, “No,” right away when you wanted to stop the exercise.
Right now, the entire home was a mess, and the hole you had made in the wall remained.
“I'm tired here, Ben,” you complained as you fell to the ground, gasping for air. You had been there exercising together since the morning, and it was nearly the sun going down. Except when you needed to eat or pee, he rarely gave you a moment's peace of mind. “I mean it. I'm done.”
You opened your hands wide on the ground, and he looked at your body while saying, “You're a supe; you can't just feel exhausted that easily.”
You blushed as you noticed him staring at your soaked entire body and replied, “Give me some break.” There's a good chance that you were both thinking the same thing. “How on earth can you find that much energy? Even for a supe, it's too much.”
Ben stared at you and then took off the shirt he had taken off hours earlier, wiping the sweat from his muscular chest. You grimaced, knowing you probably smelled like trash.
“It's because I am the strongest; I am not just any average Supe.” With the most arrogant way possible, he threw his t-shirt back to the ground and said, “Simply better and more powerful than anyone. But don't worry; we'll return you to the way things were, sweetie. You have my word.”
He gave you a sneaky smirk when he saw you staring at his broad, sweat-damp chest. Ben was waiting for you, literally, from above, all the time you tried to get some rest. His eyes narrowed, and you suspected his head was full of filthy stuff.
You just muttered, “I hope so,” and avoided giving him a glance as you closed your eyes.
He sighed and went down on the floor next to you, crossing his big arms over his head.
“Don't think about it that much. You're going to do even better than you are now. Maybe we should just do those trainings more frequently. What do you say?”
“It’s fine. I don’t have another choice anyway,” you replied, cutting it short while keeping your eyes closed. Even if you felt his intense stare on your face, you didn’t react. “What did the doctor tell you, by the way? The one who supervised Compound V's improvement for decades?”
You remembered that there was a lot of discussion following the news that Ben had killed him at his home. You kind of hoped you could have dealt with that cruel piece of shit on your own, though. He was just a monster with a white robe. He had always made an aggressive attempt to cause damage to you and showed no sympathy or compassion for anyone. You got scared and insecure when you opened your eyes, recalling the physical harm he had inflicted.
“Fucking piece of shit!” Ben angrily exclaimed, his fists clenched over his head. “I should have killed him properly.”
“What did he say, so you blew up?”
“Isn't it obvious? That pussy told me how little supes are in the big picture of science, the future of the supremes, humanity, and some other bullshit. It's certain that Vough paid that cocksucker generously during all those years. He lived in luxury, torturing us, and he didn’t even regret it.”
“Did he tell you what kind of research he did on my body?” You asked as you moved your body to face him.
Ben fell silent for a minute, enraged by what he remembered the doctor had said about you. Nevertheless, his eyes softened as he saw your expression and saw that you were excited to hear what he was about to say and that you were feeling at ease and comfortable next to him. That was all he needed. Ben recognized that if he made a determined attempt to be by your side and touch you in the way he desired, you would push him even further away and that you weren't
ready for physical contact at this time. He therefore forced himself to keep his distance from you and let you do whatever you wanted.
He just turned to face you and stated, “I didn't give him enough time to talk,” straightening his posture and sitting straight up on the floor. “He's just an animal, and he sees supes as rats for research in order to make profit. That's all.”
“When we agreed to live this life as supers, Ben, we already knew that.” You said bitterly, “People in charge always wanted to play with us like we were toys. They used us as they pleased and needed us for their own good. I wanted to leave the company for a number of reasons, one of which was that I was unaware of how serious that whole picture was. What I need to learn is what they succeeded in doing during the decades we were unconscious and at their mercy.”
Ben sighed and got up to get some weed from the nearest table, just after helping you off the floor.
“I was told by that son of a bitch that he examined you to make the future supers flawless. Though I'm not really sure what he meant, it seems to me that Queen Maeve—the woman from Seven—is their new you.”
“Do you think they might have found a way to weaken me? Don't say 'no' right away,” you said in a hurry when he opened his lips to object. “It just doesn't feel right about what's going on and everything.”
Your concerns, which were constantly lurking beneath the surface, took over when you realized that Ben had remained silent. Something was off with you, you two sensed that. Although after your first training day you felt a little stronger, your weakness remained under your skin.
You pulled open a window to let some fresh air in and muttered, “If you hadn't just killed the doctor, we could have learned about it.”
Ben offered you one of the glasses and sighed as if he regretted what he had done, filling the other one with wine. “I didn't intentionally kill him. It simply happened beyond my control. But I would still murder him anyway.”
You raised an eyebrow and sat down, realizing that your tiredness was taking over. “You need to find a way to control it since your nerves are always on edge,” you said. “And also, I need to find someone who can understand all of this.”
Ben sat beside you, stretching his muscles and leaning back into the coach while he listened to you attentively. As you spoke, you noticed that your gaze lingered a little too long on his sweating body, almost making you flush.
He studied your expression to see how you would react to his suggestion. He said, “I guess the best option is to kidnap or torture a doctor who is in charge or fuckever who's doing supe studies for Vought right now. We can use Mindstorm to look at your memories and thoughts to see whether they have hurt you in any way.”
His suggestion caused your eyes to widen with excitement, and you exclaimed, “That's actually a smart idea. But how are we supposed to find him?”
“Remember the new technology, sweetheart. Anything is possible with these phones, Bluetooth, and GPS technology. Remember how I found you very easily?”
You gave a nod to him, knowing that what he stated was right and that you would be able to reach Mindstorm with ease thanks to modern technology.
After you had your shower, you saw Ben watching the TV with a dead serious face, and you sat beside him.
As you used the towel in your hand to dry your damp hair, you inquired, “Is there any news about us? Almost a week has passed.”
“Not much,” he replied as he continued to listen to Homelander talk about the two of you.
‘They pose no threat to the United States,’ Homelander confidently stated, grinning, as he extended his arms and turned to face the screen. 'As Seven, we've been trying to find them for a week, but it looks like they are hiding pretty well,' he continued. I, Homelander, the Seven's leader, swear to you that they shall answer for their actions. It has been proven that Soldier Boy rescued Y/N, and it's very likely that the two of them murdered the hapless doctors as well as every lab employee in cold blood and without hesitation.'
You and Ben exchanged a look as Homelander continued his speech. ‘Their families and children are in agony even though our government gives them the best care they can. These two criminals are responsible for the deaths of the orphans whose parents they killed. It breaks our hearts to see them weeping and grieving the loss of their families. There are even toddlers among them. Soldier Boy and Y/N will be held liable and made to pay for the harm they caused to the United States and its citizens. They have little time to conceal; they cannot get away.’
As the audience gave him a loud applause and he flew opening his arms out like.
Ben angrily said, “Fuck that. Son of a bitch,” and threw the remote control onto the table in front of him. “They were just another piece of shits who enjoyed torturing supes, nothing else.”
“But I didn't kill anyone,” you mumbled. “We are past the point of self-justification. Homelander is basically controlling the crowds. They would never pay to listen to us, Ben.”
Ben stared at the TV and said, “I'll teach them how to listen,” in a menacing manner. “You see? It's no longer about Butcher and his useless group. It has to do with our future.”
You could have argued with him about the future, but all you wanted was to avoid getting into another fight with Ben.
“I think such a guy wouldn't be innocent at all. We might be able to defeat the company if we can figure out how to properly express ourselves, explain to them how Vought tricked us, and show the real Homelander to the rest of the world. There isn't another way.”
“I know, I know,” he muttered.
As you could tell Ben was becoming enraged and feeling overwhelmed, you touched his bare chest, which had a little glow to it. “Hey, are you okay?”
He responded with, “I am,” placing his hand on yours and giving you a gentle squeeze.
“Can you please stop getting angry for a second? I can sense the heat building in your chest.” You muttered, “You're stressing me out here,” but you didn't remove your hand from his upper body. You could feel him cooling down beneath your touch once again. It was fine as long as it worked; you simply didn't know why.
“Well,” he said, arching an eyebrow, licking his lips, allowing you to touch him, and gently tracing his fingers over yours. His powerful, slow beats were calming in a way. “It's not too bad. Is it?”
You withdrew your hand from his sweating chest while rolling your eyes at him and making sure he was okay.
Ben had just showered when Butcher and Hughie showed up at the house.
Butcher remarked in a sly manner, “Glad, I delayed for an hour coming here to pick up you two,” as you and Ben got into the back of the car. “We could have interrupted something funny, judging by the all-wet hairs and all.”
“We were just finished training there!” you exclaimed, your face heated.
“It must be very good training, indeed. The entire fucking house was damaged like hell. You two spent a whole week all showering and training while we were dealing with the shit Soldier Boy caused.”
“Sorry for that, but it's not what you think, really.”
“I thought Soldier Boy and Crimson were having a relationship. Yet life goes on, don't they? There are always new, fine chickens and dolls all around.” Butcher smirked at Ben.
You were ready to add something about Ben and you having nothing to do, but Ben became enraged right away when Butcher brought up the Crimson Countess.
“Don't you fucking know how to stay silent and shut your useless mouth?” Butcher was obviously enjoying himself when he suddenly made Ben mad.
“What made you so furious now? Have I said anything untrue?”
Hughie leaned back in his seat and said, “Butcher, stop that,” sounding distressed as Ben continued to swear at them both and told Hughie to make Buther to suck him soon, so his mouth would be filled enough not to talk stupid.
“Why even do you become irate out of nowhere? After all, you murdered the poor woman.”
You looked up at Ben, asking with disbelief, “What? Why did you even kill Countess?”
The fact that Ben never brought it up startled you even more than Butcher's statement, as though it were nothing important. You were stunned and shocked beyond belief. At that point, you were at a loss for what to think. You were not sympathetic to her, though. After all, Vought used her as a cunning evil to harm both you and Ben. She was the one who paid you a visit in order to deceive you that day.
He tried to convince you immediately, giving you a gentle look as if he wanted you to understand what he had done. “She deserved whatever I've done,” he defended himself.
You acknowledged, “I know she did. But why?”
He looked at Butcher and then turned to face you, almost whispering, “Let's discuss this at a later time. All right?”
You found Annie nowhere to be found when you got to Butcher's home, where only Kimiko and Frenchie were inside. Kimiko watched Frenchie play with his phone, seeming bored.
“Why did it take so long for you to come here?” Frenchie inquired in an irritated manner to Butcher. “You give me too much to deal with, though you know I have things to do. Kimiko is also exhausted.”
Butcher sarcastically remarked, “Hello to you too, baby,” as he removed his coat. “I have not even once heard a complaint from her; she is an incredible Supe. She can't possibly be exhausted, right, doll?”
Ben moved you over to the edge of the coach and sat by you, resting his legs on the table, just as you were about to strike up a conversation with Kimiko. You were fine with him being close, though, so you said nothing at all. In fact, if you were honest with yourself enough, you would admit that his behavior around you somewhat comforted you.
“Kimiko and I have spent days looking for Black Noir and Queen Maeve, but we haven't made any progress so far. It's strange that they were absent from everything for so long. You see, something isn't quite right. According to Starlight, they have vanished.”
“The fuck you mean they are missing?” Butcher asked in disbelief.
“Why would Noir would go missing? It's not his thing to disappear,” you said. You thought you were thinking to yourself, but you had said it loud.
“He must have ran away when he saw us back together,” Ben said in am amused tone. “He fucking knows I'm going to kill him too. He’s a fucking dead man.”
You told Ben, “There must be a reason,” ignoring the way he talked about taking Earving's life. Right now, you don't need to see Ben being enraged over Noir and losing his temper again.
“How the fuck doesn't Starlight know where Queen Maeve is?” Butcher questioned Hughie.
Hughie took his head in his hands and responded, “She thinks Homelander did something to her. Maybe he killed Maeve.”
“How about Ninja Cunt, though? He is known as Homelander's right wing. Suppose he murdered Maeve. What about Noir?”
Frenchie remarked, “That's what I'm trying to understand,” and Kimiko communicated with him using sign language swiftly.
“All right, we'll watch out for this and see if he shows up again.” Butcher ended it quickly and continued. “Tomorrow, Soldier Boy and I are heading to New York.”
You eyed Butcher with suspicion, asking, “Why and why not me?”
“You two stayed at a lovely house for a week, for God’s sake. Aren't all of the showers enough? Is it not possible for you to separate for even a single day? Would you really miss this cunt that much?”
As Butcher continued to make assumptions about you and Ben, your face heated. Kimiko and Frenchie turned to face you in harmony, taken aback.
“You're just making the wrong assumptions.” You distanced yourself from Ben and explained, “It's not like that,” acting as though you had been proven guilty. Ben didn't appear to be supportive when you stared at him, yet it seemed as though he was okay with Butcher's comments. “What I want to know is what you're going to be doing here and why I have to stay here.”
“Yes, doll. To catch up with your old friend TNT Twins, we are going to join Herogasm. It's almost like we have to clear your names first. Maybe they know anything about the specifics of those events from decades ago, and they could say something that we could use against Vought. Though things might get messy soon, don't you worry, I'm going to keep an eye on your soldier so that he won't be pouding into any supe cunt there,” he said with a wicked smile.
Ben said, “Maybe we can also find a thing about Mindstorm there,” giving you a meaningful glance and a small touch on the arm before you could respond. You nodded to him.
“However, why must I stay here?”
“Kimiko needs to get some work done, and we need more muscle to help Frenchie and Hughie here. Let's don't take too much attention.”
“Okay,” you said, acknowledging the situation and giving up on further arguments. Herogasm was something you've always detested and loathed. Ben, the founder of it, was making it even worse. Yet the one thing about Ben's inconsistent anger—the energy in his chest—that scared you was his unpredictable temper. You weren't sure if he could find a way to control it soon enough.
You questioned Hughie, “By the way, where is Annie?” As a member of Vought and Seven, you were aware of how difficult it must be to handle the entire company's evil by yourself.
“I don't think she'll find Maeve anytime soon, but she's doing some research in order to locate her. She seemed to have disappeared in a heartbeat.”
You figured she was kind of involved in this too, based on the way they talked about her.
Ben abruptly stood up and stated, “I guess all the rooms are full. So, which room are Y/N and I staying in tonight?”
“Not full,” Hughie smiled in response. “I suppose there are now two available rooms since I will be seeing Annie tonight.”
Kimiko nodded quickly as she gave a smile to you.
Ben's expression darkened as Hughie continued to tell him and Annie that they would not be staying in this house any longer, while Ben quietly cursed. He glanced at you for a moment, but you ignored him and asked Kimiko to show you the room where you would be sleeping.
After an hour of inspecting the room and all of the furniture within, you heard a light knock on the door and knew it was Ben.
After a minute, you said, “Come in,” startled that Ben was holding back, opening the door this time without your permission.
He whispered, “As you wish, baby,” and carefully shut the door behind him.
In the dim light, his hair fell over his forehead, and his white t-shirt made your heart melt just a bit. Under his large arms, his t-shirt was too tight. Perhaps you weren't used to seeing him in his regular clothes, which is why you were still excited when you were around him.
“What now?” you muttered as you sat on the bed and observed him approach you.
He joked, “Don't get excited; I'm just here to make some conversation,” and sat down next to you right away.
You said, almost in a whisper, “Which is about?” while he briefly studied your body.
His darkened eyes lingered on your revealing nightgown, but you remained silent, intensifying the tension in the moment.
Ben's desire to force your body to the covers, get on top of you, take off your sweatpants, and get you ready for some post-breakup fucking was unbearable. He was well aware that you never touched yourself when you were by yourself in the house, and that really disturbed him because he knew that he was the reason for it. Ben could tell by the way you looked at him and by the beating in your heart that your body still yearned for him, but he also understood that he had to rebuild your trust in every way. He had to take care of his meat by hand up until that point.
After sighing and searching for the right words, Ben uttered, “About the thing I told you that we can discuss later.” He made an effort not to speak about Crimson bitch right away. She was the reason your nerves were already fragile. He had no reason to blame you for it.
As he attempted to read how you were feeling, you questioned in a cold voice, “Why did you kill her? Was it unintentional?”
You were curious as to whether he truly intended to murder her or if this was just another unintentional incident similar to the others. You needed to comprehend it, even though you didn't know why it mattered.
After a while, he said, “I blew up,” and when you realized he hadn't done it on purpose to exact vengeance for you, your posture straightened.
Ben said, “I was just trying to get information about you and your location before killing her,” as soon as he saw the look on your face. “I was cautious to do anything until she had spoken about you. But I was unable to control myself when she touched my nerves.”
“Did you kill her just because she was unfaithful?” You questioned him suspiciously, attempting to make sense of his motivations. Ben might tell you the truth or a lie, but you would still listen to him even if you weren't sure he would be completely honest with you. “In the end, it's her who deceived you. Whether Vought commanded her or not is important. She was the one who brought you there so they could capture you and then transport you to Russia.”
After pausing to comprehend what you were asking, Ben responded, “I would kill her anyway because of what she had done to both of us,” as if he had no idea how to answer properly. “Especially to you.”
You said, your eyes softening with sorrow, “I wonder what you would do to me if I were the one to trick you, Ben,” knowing that, after all these years, loyalty was what mattered most to him. “Even if I had every right to do so.”
“I would never hurt you,” he abruptly rejected, emphasizing each word in a hard voice. “I knew I would deserve it anyway.”
“I'm not so sure of that, Ben,” you said. “You're even more dangerous considering I'm getting weaker and you're ready to blow up anytime.”
His smile expanding, he added, “Hey, don't say such things,” took one of your hands, placed it on his warm chest, and whispered, “You have every power over me.”
Under his focused gaze, your face flushed, and after a moment, you reluctantly withdrew your hand.
“So, you're going to Herogasm tomorrow?” you said, attempting to change the topic. “Given how difficult it was to persuade you not to join decades earlier, you must have missed it quite a lot.”
“Are you feeling jeaolus?” he asked with a mischievous smile, and you grimaced.
“Why should I be? I'm just saying you might have missed the chance to join the party that you organized after all this time.”
“I'm not going there to fuck, baby; I'm not interested anymore,” he murmured, retaining an arrogant chuckle. “I'm going to call you when I get there.”
“I'm not sure.” You said to quit talking about Herogasm anymore. “I might be busy to pick up when you call.” Herogasm was the world's dumbest thing, especially since Ben founded it.
“Why may be you even busy, anyway?” This time Ben uttered serious words: “I'll call you nonstop, so keep your phone with you every moment.”
You responded with the same heedlessness, “I might.”
Ben smiled playfully and narrowed his eyes. “Since you too need to take care of yourself, it will actually be good for us to be apart for just a small amount of time.”
You naively asked, “About what?” as though he would make a crucial point.
“You might as well relax on this bed while I'm away because I’m pretty aware of you're not touching yourself, knowing I'd hear you in a second, huh?”
You became the deepest shade of scarlet in your cheeks and murmured, “I can't believe you.”
“I'm not making fun,” he declared with seriousness. “It is also a bodily necessity. You don't have to reject playing with yourself a bit. Being the reason is something that irritates me a lot.”
“I don't feel ashamed of taking care of myself because of you or anything else,” you immediately argued, ignoring the heat on your cheeks. “I have no problem touching myself while you're here. It's not all that important.”
Ben arched an eyebrow at your quick, brave, “If you say so,” followed by a sigh.
“I'm serious here, Ben,” you continued, growing agitated by his haughty demeanor and enormous ego. “I'll prove it.”
He studied your figure and growled in a low voice, “I won't promise that I won't focus on you or listen to the way you sound.”
“Then don't.”

i watched it begin again
pairing: reader x ben chilwell summary: ever since your last relationship ended badly, you've lost all hope in love. until your best friend convinces you to go on a date with her bf's friend ben warnings: none word count: 2.7k
author's note: this is just a short little something inspired by one of my favourite songs, begin again by taylor swift ❤️ and bc the thought of a first date with ben is just so perfect to me 😌
-
As you sit in an Uber on your way to Marylebone, fidgeting nervously with the hem of your dress, you can’t help but wonder how you got here.
It took a lot of convincing - to be precise, three glasses of white wine, some chocolates, and the agreement to watch your favourite movie on Netflix that night - for your best friend to convince you to go on this date last weekend.
Mia, one of your closest friends since you were kids, knows better than anyone how reluctant you’ve been to return to dating life ever since your last relationship ended catastrophically. Your last boyfriend, Jack, who had also been your first serious one, had completely broken your heart eight months ago.
After two years together, just when you were beginning to think about taking the next step and move in with him, you caught him cheating on you with in his flat with a coworker he had sworn was just a friend. You were so completely devastated by this betrayal and the sudden end of your relationship that you haven’t so much as downloaded a dating app or talked to a guy at a bar since.
Your friends have been loving and supportive of your decision to stay single for a while, but ever since Mia started seeing her boyfriend Harvey a couple months ago, she’s been pestering you to meet one of his friends. She’s told you several times that his mate Ben is perfect for you, but based on the little you know, you’re not sure you agree.
She showed you his Instagram a while back and, although there’s no questioning that he’s quite attractive, you don’t know if a fancy, famous footballer is the right choice to ease back into dating. You doubted that you would be his type, either, but when Mia insisted that Ben was interested and free this Thursday, you finally gave in.
You figured the worst that could happen is you realize you’re not ready to date again or that there isn’t a connection between you and you wasted one evening having dinner with a stranger.
But now that you’re sitting in this car, about to go on an actual date for the first time in forever, you feel like you might explode with nerves. You don’t remember how to flirt, how to tell someone about yourself, how to act cool and composed. You could be totally awkward and weird and he might never want to see you again.
Or, even worse, you could fall madly in love, only for him to end up breaking your heart. That’s the far more terrifying possibility.
You have half a mind to ask the driver to turn around and take you back home, but you force yourself not to. Mia would be upset with you, and you figure you owe it to her not to stand up Harvey’s friend for no real reason.
Your hands are shaking slightly as you get out of the car and enter the restaurant. You consider waiting outside for him, as you’re a couple minutes early and he probably isn’t here yet, but it’s freezing out right now, so you decide to head in.
“Hi, do you have a reservation?” the hostess asks you, and you nod a bit shyly.
“Yes, it should be under Chilwell? But I’m early, so I can just wait-"
“Right this way,” she says with a smile, motioning for you to follow her.
It’s a small restaurant, with no more than ten tables, most of them occupied. There are candles burning and soft music is playing, the atmosphere somehow romantic without being cheesy.
You feel slightly more at ease knowing it’s not some insanely posh place like you were half-expecting it to be, and then you lock eyes with your date.
Your stomach erupts with butterflies - something you also weren’t quite expecting - when you see him, immediately realizing that the photos Mia showed you did not do him justice.
He’s gorgeous, with bright blue eyes that light up when he sees you and wavy dark hair that you could spend hours running your fingers through. He quickly stands up as you approach the table, smoothing out any wrinkles in the dark blue trousers he’s wearing, paired with a black knit jumper and Nikes.
You can hear Mia’s words echoing in your ears: “Harv swears he has a heart of gold. He had a bad breakup last year too, so you’re in the same boat. Just give him a chance and see how it goes!”
“Y/N!” Ben smiles, greeting you with a quick hug. “It’s good to finally meet you, Mia’s talked a lot about you.”
Oh, god, you think to yourself, hoping your best friend hasn’t overhyped you too much.
“Good to meet you too,” you say, returning his smile. “And that sounds like Mia, she talks a lot about everything.”
“That’s probably why she and Harv work so well,” he quips.
Ben is still standing quite close to you, and it takes you a moment to realize he’s pulled out your chair for you to sit down. You’re not sure if a guy has ever done that for you before.
You oblige, taking the seat and letting him push you in before sitting across from you. Something your mum told you when you were a kid about how a gentleman behaves comes to mind, but you try not to let your mind wander too much. It’s been about twenty seconds, there’s plenty of time for him to prove right your current theory that all men are trash.
“Thanks for choosing the restaurant,” you say to fill the silence, glancing around you. “It’s really nice.”
“Yeah, I come here a lot,” Ben replies. “It’s low key, which I kinda like. Mostly old people and stuff. I was actually just starting to worry you’d think it was a bit lame for a first date.”
“I don’t,” you say quickly. “I’m good with low key.”
Ben smiles at you, and you’re not sure if it’s him or the candlelight making your face feel warmer all of a sudden.
“You look gorgeous, by the way,” he says a bit shyly. “I should’ve said that sooner.”
“Oh, thanks.” You’re certain now that you’re blushing. “So do you. I mean, you look very - not that you’re not gorgeous, men can totally be-"
You meet Ben’s gaze, your cheeks flushed with embarrassment, but you find no judgement in his eyes - he’s smiling at you even more now, the kind of smile that makes you feel completely at ease.
You just met this man, and yet you feel completely safe with him.
“Sorry, this is my first date in nearly three years, I’m a bit rusty,” you admit.
“No, you’re good,” Ben says gently. “Mia mentioned you recently got out of a long-term relationship.”
“Not that recently anymore, but…yeah,” you say. “It was a bit of a shit show. We were together two years and then one day I walked in on him sleeping with another girl. Not exactly an amicable breakup.”
Ben’s face falls. “Oh, I’m so sorry, Y/N. What a piece of shit.”
“Yeah, he really was,” you say, nodding your head. “Obviously, it was for the best, though. Better I find out he’s a lying cheater now than ten years down the line, right?”
“Definitely,” Ben agrees, “you want something to drink?”
After a couple glasses of wine and the most amazing pasta dish you’ve ever had in your life, you feel like you’ve known the person sitting across from you for years, rather than hours.
You talk about everything - your job, his football career, your families, your friends. You talk about your ex a bit more, and then he opens up about his. There’s a nagging feeling in the back of your mind that you’re sharing too much with him, but a far stronger one telling you that this is right. It’s a feeling you’ve never had before, not with your ex and not on any other first date you had before him.
You don’t even realize how much time has passed until you look around and realize you’re the only ones left in the restaurant.
“They’re probably closing soon,” you comment, though you don’t really want to leave.
“Twenty minutes ago, actually,” Ben says. You raise an eyebrow, and he scratches the back of his head and smiles. “Uh, I may have offered the owner a hundred quid to stay open a bit longer while you were in the loo. I’ve been having a really nice time talking to you.”
Your heart thumps in your chest, your eyes nearly beginning to water at the gesture.
“I’ve been having a really nice time with you, too.”
After you finish your drinks and Ben pays the cheque, not even hearing out your offer to split it, you head back out into the chilly London night together.
“I’m just gonna call an Uber,” you say, pulling out your phone with one hand and rubbing your shoulders for warmth with the other.
“I’m parked right around the corner, I’d be happy to drive you?” Ben offers.
You remember that he declined a second glass of wine earlier, stating that he was driving - a stark contrast from your ex, who would frequently call you to pick him and his car up from the pub after he got too pissed to drive home.
“You really don’t have to, it’s pretty late,” you protest.
“It’s no big deal,” Ben assures you. He then shrugs off his jacket and wraps it around your shoulders without hesitation, putting an end to your clearly obvious shivering. “So you don’t freeze on the way to the car.”
You smile gratefully, unable to articulate with words how much this simple gesture means to you.
As you walk side by side, you can’t help but admire the Christmas lights already strung up on the shops and houses you pass.
“I love this time of year,” you say. “It’s so magical.”
“Same here,” Ben smiles. “Christmas in London is the best. Do you have any plans for the holidays this year?”
Your brain briefly flits back to the ski trip you and your ex went on the past two years right before Christmas. A week ago, you were dreading that time coming, knowing you would end up being nostalgic for those trips and start missing him again, but somehow, that feeling seems to have vanished.
“Just going home to see my parents,” you say. “You?”
“Yeah, we always have games around Christmas, so my family usually comes to mine and we do a big dinner on Christmas Day, then they come see me play on Boxing Day,” Ben tells you. “After the game, we always go get hot chocolate and go ice skating. My little sister suggested it when she was a bit younger, and it sort of stuck.”
The combination of Ben’s coat over your shoulders and the way your heart is melting at his sweet words makes your entire body feel warmer.
“That’s a great tradition,” you say, looking over at him with a smile and gently bumping your arm against his.
You arrive at Ben’s car and he opens the door for you to get in, his hand brushing against yours as you do so, and the brief touch is enough to drive you crazy.
The drive to your flat isn’t too long, and conversation continues to flow easily between the pair of you. You can’t help but steal a glance at Ben from time to time as he drives, admiring the way the streetlights reflect in his beautiful ocean blue eyes.
There’s a bit of a pang in your chest when he pulls up in front of your building and you know this is the end of the most incredible night you’ve had in ages.
“Walk you to your door?” Ben offers, and you nod without hesitation.
He once again comes around to open your door for you - you know you have a low bar right now, but you’re seriously in awe of what a gentleman he’s being.
Once you’ve arrived at the door to your flat, you turn around to face Ben, and he has a bit of an inquisitive expression on his face.
“I had a really nice time tonight,” he says softly.
“So did I,” you say sincerely. “Thanks for dinner, and the lift home, and…just, erm, for being so wonderful.”
His cheeks now flushed with red, Ben takes a small step closer to you, and your gaze automatically falls to his lips. You want him to kiss you, you’re sure of it, but some part of you is still completely terrified of where this might go if you do.
“Can I…” Ben murmurs, tenderly reaching up to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear, and once again, you don’t hesitate.
“Yes.”
He slowly leans in until his lips are pressed to yours, one hand gently cupping your face and the other resting on your waist. You hold his hand that rests on your cheek as you kiss him back, your lips slowly moving together in perfect harmony.
It’s fun and new and exciting to kiss him, but mostly, just like everything has this evening, it feels right.
When you pull away, it takes a moment for your eyes to remember how to open. When you do, you’re met with an awestruck grin on Ben’s face that you’re pretty sure you’re mirroring yourself.
“Wow,” you breathe. “Been a long time since I’ve done that.”
You’re not sure if you mean kissing or falling for someone - perhaps both.
“Me too,” Ben whispers, kissing you once more. “I think we’re pretty good at it.”
You nod, grasping at his shirt as you find yourself swaying slightly, intoxicated by his kisses and his gaze.
“Maybe we should do it again to be sure,” you joke.
He wastes no time leaning down to kiss you again, and again, and again until you’ve lost all track of time.
Eventually, he pulls away and takes a small step back, and you miss his lips already.
“I should probably get going,” he says, though you can tell he doesn’t really want to. You have half a mind to invite him inside, but you know it’s better to take things slow, especially when there’s a chance this could really be something. “Can I - erm, would you want to-“
“Yes, please,” you cut him off with a grin. “Text me when you get home?”
You’re already eagerly anticipating a second date - the sooner the better, honestly, despite your wishes to take it slow.
“Definitely,” Ben says, nodding eagerly. “Have a good night, Y/N.”
He begins to turn to walk away, and you watch him get halfway to his car before fumbling for your keys and entering your flat with a giddy smile on your face.
You realize you haven’t checked your messages all night, so you quickly return Mia’s texts.
You flip down on your couch, still smiling like a fool, and it’s only then that you realize you’re still wearing Ben’s jacket. After panicking for a second, you quickly reach for your phone again.
You nearly throw your phone with excitement, counting down the seconds until you get to see him again and thanking your lucky stars that you agreed to go out tonight.
You thought that love died that terrible day eight months ago, that your chance at happiness was over, but now you can’t help but wonder if there’s a reason things ended the way they did.
Maybe to make way for something better to begin.

Tylo oneshot - Tire Swing
Everyone was walking around their camp, doing something.
Ashlyn was teaching Aiden how to throw a proper punch, Ben was restocking the first aid kit, Taylor putting in new light bulbs in their stage lights, and Tyler was kind of just sitting there, bored.
He had gotten an injury at his last baseball game, and everyone insisted that he sit down to avoid him overexerting himself. He just thought they were all overreacting. It wasn't an awful injury. He wasn't a baby. And besides, it was only his arm.
It really just frustrated him. He hated not being able to feel helpful. Helping and being productive is how he's managed to keep his family from crumbling for years.
Though, there was one thing he did notice, since he wasn't too busy working. Logan was missing. Everyone else was so busy with their own tasks that they just didn't seem to notice.
And, honestly, the more he thought about it, the more concerned he got. Logan hasn't been in a very good mood today. Sad and melancholic.
Out of instinct, Tyler checked Logan's tire spot, but was reminded that it wasn't there anymore.
Due to Logan getting overwhelmed easily, they decided to give him his own quiet spot a little farther from the rest of the camp. A tire swing, hanging from a sturdy tree.
Tyler got up and froze like a deer in headlights for a split second, hoping no one noticed him leaving. Namely Taylor, who's been keeping him under surveillance like a security guard.
Once he saw that everyone was distracted enough, he slinked away. The grass was getting really tall and itchy. He waded through it and spotted the swing, gently moving back and forth against the wind. And there, in the swing, was Logan, the evening sunlight reflecting off of his glasses, casting a faint shadow.
Tyler hesitated. Logan looked sad and rather serious. Lost in thought. Should he really interrupt him?
Tyler shifted a little bit and decided to try and take a step back, only to end up stepping on a branch.
Logan's head quickly turned to where the noise came from and froze, staring at Tyler.
"Um... sorry. I just came to check on you."
Logan stared at him for a bit longer before turning his head and blinking a bit. "It's ok."
Tyler stood there before taking slow and steady steps forward. "So, uh... what are you, uhm-"
Logan turned to him again, his brow furrowed and tears in the corners of his eyes.
"-doing...?"
They stared at each other, another staring contest before Tyler clenched his fists.
"You're crying," he said. Pointing out the obvious, thanks Tyler.
"Who made you cry?" Tyler asked, seething with rage.
"It's not something you need to worry about, Tyler."
"But you're crying. I can't not want to-"
"I said it's ok!"
Tyler's eyes widened, and Logan's did too. Neither of them expected the outburst.
Tyler almost felt helpless. And he hated feeling helpless. When Taylor was sad, he always managed to make her feel better. Who was he if not someone who could help the people he cared about?
Tyler turned his head, thinking, before stamping his foot into the dirt in frustration and climbing into the tire swing with him.
"H-Huh!? Tyler, what are you doing?"
Tyler uncomfortably got situated and grumbled a little. "How do you spend so much time in this thing?"
Logan pouted a little and repeated his question: "What are you doing?"
"I'm gonna stay in here until you tell me what's wrong."
Logan's eyes widened. "Seriously?"
"Yep. You shouldn't bottle it in, or whatever."
"Tyler, you're too cramped. Your arm-"
"-will be fine," Tyler finished for him. "Don't worry."
Their legs awkwardly tangled together. Tyler's legs were definitely too long for this.
Logan sighed a little and looked out at the distance. "Why are you doing this?"
"I.. I don't like not being able to help," he said gruffly. He hated saying that stuff out loud, but if he was going to force Logan to open up, he should probably as well... just a little. He didn't like being too vulnerable.
Logan doesn't say anything for a good minute before rubbing his eyes with his sleeve. "Nothing specifically is wrong. I'm just.. sad."
"How can that be? You can't just be sad for no reason."
Logan shrugged. "Sometimes I am. I have a bad habit where I think about things, make up scenarios in my head, fake conversations in my head and I get sad about them before forgetting what it was that I thought to make me so sad in the first place."
Tyler doesn't know what to say to that before being Captain Obvious again: "That sounds awful."
Logan chuckles halfheartedly. "It is what it is. I've been like this ever since I started to live with my grandparents. I just get sad for no reason and I hide myself away."
Tyler pauses for a moment before gently tapping on Logan's knee. "What can I do to help?"
Logan shakes his head. "Nothing. I can't help that this happens. Most I can do is ride it out."
"But how am I supposed to make things better? I'm supposed to...-" I'm supposed to be the problem solver.
Logan sniffles a little. "Honestly... knowing that you care is almost enough."
Tyler pauses, sweat dripping down his nose from the heat of being in the tire, the Georgia sun, and Logan's body heat so close.
"It is?"
Logan nods and their hands almost touch before they both stop themselves.
"So should I stay?"
"I'd like that.. just no talking. I want your presence."
"Will that make you feel better?" Tyler asked. He didn't know why his voice was so quiet, it just was.
Logan thinks for a second before nodding again. "Ya. It really would."
The swing gently swayed in the wind, the almost setting sun in the distance, casting a shadow over the tree, giving them a cooling shade, as if the world itself was saying:
"Stay and rest."

Ben Chilwell Imagine | three
Author’s note: Welcome to another imagine inspired by something random I saw 😅 In this case, it all started after reading this post that someone I follow rebloged, and also after watching a cute video on Instagram of a girl talking to the guy sitting opposite her on a train. That kind of is the summary 😁
Masterlist
"Excuse me."
"Uh?" I say, looking up from my phone and meeting those blue kind of grey eyes.
"Hi, sorry for bothering you. Would you mind keeping an eye on my things while I go to the bathroom?"
"Yeah, sure."
"Thank you" he smiles.
"Everything ok?" he asks when he comes back.
"Yep. Though if you are a Chelsea supporter, they just conceded."
"What?"
"Sorry."
"I leave for a couple of minutes and..." he sighs. "Do you like football?"
"Sometimes."
"Sometimes?" he chuckles.
"When my team wins. Like right now, for example."
"Wait, do you support..." he says, looking down at his phone.
"Yeah... Sorry" I shrug.
"It's ok" he laughs. "Do you want to watch the game? We can share my earbuds."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, come here" he says, moving to the seat next to him and leaving his for me. "I'm Ben, by the way."
"Nice to meet you, Ben" I reply, sitting next to him and taking one of the earbuds, our heads leaning closer so we don't pull them out.
Being this close, I can see that he has some freckles, and he also smells so good... Yeah, I'm in love.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"A draw probably was the best result" Ben says once the game is over.
"Was it? Because that penalty..."
"It wasn't a penalty."
"It was."
"It wasn't" he says, trying to look serious but not being able to hide a smile. "And looks like we've almost made it London."
"Yeah..." I sigh. I wish I could stay in this train forever, sitting next to him, looking at his perfect face, maybe running a hand through his curls while he rests his head on my lap while taking a nap and...
"Are you ok?"
"Uh?"
"You just kind of... Disconnected" Ben laughs.
"Did I?"
"You did. Which means that you didn't hear my question."
"I'm sorry" I say, feeling my cheeks get warm. Gotta love it when a cute guy catches you daydreaming about him. "What was your question?"
"I asked if you are from Brighton or were just visiting."
"Oh, I was visiting. One of my cousins was getting married."
"What a coincidence! I also attended a wedding this weekend. One of my best mates from school was marrying this girl he met on a train back from uni. Kind of like us right now."
"Wait..." I say, trying to ignore his smile when he said "kind of like us right now." "That girl... Is she called Diana?"
"Yeah. Diana and Matt."
"Oh my God!"
"Please tell me Diana isn't your cousin."
"She is!" I laugh.
"We were at the same wedding?"
"Yes!"
"And we didn't meet? How?"
"I don't know" I shrug. I'm sure I would have noticed a guy like him.
"Looks like destiny still wanted us to meet, tho" Ben says with a cheeky smile.
"Looks like it" I say, my face now burning.
"Before the train stops... May I get your number? We could maybe meet one day, grab a coffee, maybe go to a game together?"
"That would be lovely" I reply, the butterflies on my stomach having a party. No, not a party. A rave.
"I think you friend is desperate from an update on the cute guy from the train" Ben chuckles while typing his number on my phone.
"What?"
"A text just came in asking about him. It was written in capital letters."
"Oh, shit. Sorry."
"It's ok. I also think you are very cute" he smirks.
"I..." I feel like my face is about to burst into flames. "Thank you."
"You are very welcome. And you should text your friend, I fear for their life" he laughs.
"I will, I promise. But before we leave the train, can I ask you a favour?"
"Ok..." he smirks, that smile making me fall a bit more in love with him.

You Broke Me First
Part 17
Zoe had a smile on her face from the second she got that text from Cillian, all throughout the hot shower she took, picking out clothes, getting dressed, picking up coffee and driving to work.
She picked out a white sleeveless bodysuit with structured shoulders, black pleated dress pants and some mules. She put on her gold bracelets that her grandmother passed down to her when she died (they were in her jewelry box collecting dust) and put on some gold necklaces and earrings. Instead of straightening her hair or putting it in a messy bun like usual, she decided to add some product to it and let it stay wavy, blow drying it upside down and scrunching it so it had volume. Zoe's hair was naturally very wavy and normally she hated it, but she decided to embrace it today.
I look like a lion, she thought to herself as she took one final look in the mirror.
Zoe arrived at work and walked in with her head held high. She walked down the long hallway towards her office, past the cubicles of junior writers that once stared her down. She felt confident, she felt happy, she felt wanted. Cillian had transformed her entire mood. If she knew one blackout night and a sloppy facetime call to him would change everything, she would of done this a long time ago.
She closed her office door, set her bag and coffee down, and sat at her desk. First things first - music. She opened her spotify and shuffled her "liked songs" playlist.
She took out her notebook and opened to the most recent page. She always made a "to do" list for the following day at the end of her day. Since she didn't get anything done on Monday, she wanted to speed through her to do list for Monday and play catch up for today:
Monday:
schedule Emma Stone interview- get talking points and questions
try and get contact info for wardrobe assistant for Poor Things - check with Casey from accounting?? cousin was a PA on set or something??
follow up with editor for Cill article --- where is it haven't had any feedback in weeks?????
see if can get invite for new PR firm party next month - Jlo should be there with Ben
speaking of ben - see if i can get a contact for jennifer garner, want to do segment for her Pretend Cooking Show and possibly do ina Garten collab -- pitch to Donna first
Zoe didn't get a chance to get started on anything before there was a knock on the door.
"Come in-" Zoe started, but the person had walked in anyway. "Oh, hey Mia"
Mia was one of the junior writers at Zoe's job. She latched onto Zoe as a mentor and always asked her to proofread her articles and, in turn, became somewhat close to Zoe.
Mia closed the door and sat down in the chair across from Zoe.
"Something is going on and you're not telling me" Mia said.
"What do you mean?"
"You seem... happier... well no shit, you're dating a movie star, I bet you jetted off to San Tropez for the weekend and spent it on a yacht" Mia said.
"Mia, you couldn't be more wrong" Zoe said, laughing while reminiscing of her spilling out of the dive bar Sunday night. Not exactly San Tropez.
"Ugh, I hate you so much," Mia said, leaning back into the chair and looking up at the ceiling. "How does it feel to be the envy of every girl ever?"
"Oh, stop it" Zoe said, rolling her eyes.
"Zo, you're dating Tommy Shelby. Girls have wet dreams about being with Tommy Shelby."
"I'm not dating Thomas Shelby" Zoe said, rolling her eyes.
"He still has the haircut. So at least you can pretend" Mia pointed out.
"Do you need help with something?" Zoe said, half jokingly and half serious. She felt uncomfortable talking about her relationship with Cillian, mainly because she still didn't feel comfortable lying about it. She rather avoid the entire topic all together.
"Just tell me one thing, please" Mia said, leaning forward in her chair, elbows on her knees and lowering her voice, "Is the sex good at least? Tell me it's mind blowing"
Couldn't tell ya, Mia, Zoe thought.
"Its... it's indescribable" Zoe settled on. Not exactly a lie, right? You can't describe what you don't remember.
"Ugh, I bet!" Mia said, standing up. "I'll tell you one thing" She continued as she walked towards the office door, "If he ever comes to visit you and I'm alone with him the elevator, i can't make promises I won't keep my hands to myself" She said, sticking her tongue out.
"You're a creep, close my door" Zoe said, rolling her eyes.
Before the door could click shut, it swung open again.
"Hi Honey!" Donna said dramatically, walking in.
"Hey Donna" Zoe smiled sweetly.
"Listen, sweetie, about your Cillian article," Donna paused, "I think it's best if we shelf it for the time being."
Zoe was heartbroken. "What???" why? it's with the editors, I was actually going to follow up so I can get it to publishing"
"Actually, I pulled it from the editors last week and it's been with me on my desk all this time" Donna said, looking out the windows behind Zoe's desk.
"What? why?" Zoe asked again.
"I just think... We, the partners feel that with your current 'relationship' status that an article written by you about him wouldn't exactly go over well" she stated.
"So it's a dead interview?" All that work for nothing. She's in a fake relationship because of this interview! well.... not fake feelings... I think.. Zoe thought, started to spiral.
"We are thinking about how to proceed, we might shelf it, or we might re-do the piece with Cynthia conducting the interview instead"
Zoe saw red. "Donna" She started
"Oh Zoe don't start. Enough with this rivalry. You need to bury this" Donna said, walking towards the door. "Again, no decision has been met yet, I just wanted to keep you posted. Lets do lunch later this week sweetie, i'll see you later" She said, leaving just as fast as she arrived.
Zoe sat there in silence, trying to figure out how she felt about those two interactions.
On one hand, she liked that she was the envy of the females, according to Mia. Even though it's technically a contract relationship, the feelings are real... right? right.
As for the piece... that flat out pissed her off. Cynthia and Zoe got hired at the same time, but where Zoe had to show a lengthy portfolio of articles she's done, Cynthia's father "donated" new Mac computers to the entire building. Her heart wasn't in the storytelling part of journalism, she wanted to be close to celebrities and be one. Granted, Zoe was the one who was now dating one..... but Zoe didn't intend for that to happen. Cynthia tries to date everyone she interviews - what if she makes a move on Cillian??? No, she wouldn't. She knew they were in a relationship... right?
Zoe threw her pen on her desk and leaned back in her chair. This day started off so promising, so positive and happy, and now she had a knot in her chest.
Just then, her phone went off, a text.
From Cillian.
Dinner tonight? your place? unless you're sick of me xx
Zoe smiled.
-My to do list got cut in half, i'm leaving here at 4. Gonna stop at the store first, meet at my place at 5? -sounds good love. xx
Okay, that's something to look forward to I guess. Zoe thought. She'll pick up a bottle of wine and relax with her boyfriend.
Her boyfriend.... her"boyfriend"? Her contractually obligated boyfriend?
Cillian. She'll relax with Cillian.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zoe pulled up to her apartment to Cillian sitting on the front steps. She parked and hopped out of the car carrying the bottle of wine.
"Hey you" Cillian said, standing up and immediately pulling her into a kiss. "You look absolutely beautiful."
"Thank you" Zoe smiled. She looked behind him on the steps and noticed the pizza box. "Pizza night?" She asked.
"Yea, I didn't know what to get last minute, and didn't want to show up empty handed, and I figured it's a safe bet" He said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Of course pizza is a safe bet. Lets go upstairs" She said, silently thanking god that she straightened up her apartment before she left that morning.
They went up the stairs and entered the apartment, placing the pizza and wine on the counter.
Zoe turned around, half expecting Cillian to pounce on her. She knew there was sexual frustration since last night, and she wanted to continue what they started.
But, much to her dismay, Cillian began to get the wine glasses out of the cabinet and uncork wine, pouring Zoe a glass first. He carried the pizza box and his wine to the coffee table, placing them down and sitting on the couch in front of it. He opened the pizza box before yelling back to her "Hey, can you grab napkins for us?"
Hm. okay. a little bit too domesticated for me tonight, but okay, Zoe thought, grabbing some napkins. She kicked off her shoes and sat next to him on the couch, accepting a slice from him.
They made small talk about their day, and Zoe asked how the house hunting went. Cillian's mood suddenly changed.
"It's turning into a nightmare" He said, shaking his head.
"Why?"
Cillian sighed. "because now that she signed the papers, she wants this done, like yesterday. As if she wasn't the one who dragged this out for so long. She wants me out of the house in the next couple of days or else the buyer is gonna walk away. So I need to be out of the house by Thursday"
Zoe stopped chewing. "Cillian... its literally Tuesday"
"Yea, no shit" Cillian huffed. "I found a house, put in an offer, but no way it'll be ready by Thursday. It's fine. I have my assistant looking for an airb&b for me in the meantime, but I have to board Scout, which I don't like"
Zoe had an idea.
"Well... you can stay here" Zoe said.
Cillian looked at her. "I don't know, love, I don't want to be in your way-"
"This sounds like a conversation we had last yesterday, except roles were reversed" Zoe laughed. "But I'm serious. I'm assuming all of your furniture is going to storage, correct?"
Cillian nodded. "They started today actually"
"So pack a bag for a couple of days, bring Scout, and stay here. Stay for as long as you need. I know it's not much, we have ubers here, the streetlight outside flickers all night, the hot water takes a minute to get luke warm, if you want hot you gotta wait about 5 minutes, and the walls are a little thin, but it's not that bad. And you're more than welcome here" Zoe said, standing up and heading into the kitchen.
"Are you allowed to even have pets here?" Cillian said, standing up and following her.
"Yea it's fine, there are dogs here. And this way if the house falls through, you can look for another one and not have to worry about extending the airb&b or finding a new one"
Zoe was drying her hands on the dishtowel when she felt Cillian wrap his arms around her from behind, nuzzling into her neck. "But where would I sleep?" He teased.
Zoe smiled. "Scout and I already claimed the bed. You sir are getting the couch" She teased back.
"mhmmm, and I bet you'll be on the couch with me before you fall asleep" He said, starting to kiss your neck.
Zoe rolled her head to the side, making it easier for him to kiss her neck. He squeezed her tighter in his arms, making Zoe sigh and relax into him. He suddenly stopped and spun her around; she was now facing him, nose to nose, still trapped in his arms.
"Ok," He whispered. "But you gotta let me help out"
"Help with what?" Zoe laughed. "It's not hard to manage a 900 square foot apartment, I assure you"
"I could be a pain, you could end up hating me by the time this is done" He said softly, hands traveling from her back to her hips, right where the hem of her jeans sat.
"I could handle you" Zoe responded, which prompted Cillian to raise an eyebrow and smirk.
"Alright love," He said, fingertips gently dipping into her jeans, rubbing the soft flesh of her stomach.
"You wanna play house? Lets play house."
Double Date
Prompt: Date
Sherlock glares at himself in the mirror. His hair looks acceptable, he decides, but he’s not happy about the grey that is encroaching. Or the little crinkles in the corners of his eyes.
“I have more grey hair than you,” John says, reading his mind. “Most of them have appeared since meeting you. Coincidence?”
“The universe is rarely so lazy. Grey hair is mostly genetics.”
“Could be worse. Look at your brother, who’s lost most of his.”
“Whose idea was this, anyway?” Now he glares at John, who is standing right in front of him, using the mirror to fix his tie. “Honestly, John. You do not need to wear a tie.”
“It’s our first double-date,” he replies calmly. “We should try to look our best. That may be easy for you, Mr Posh, but—”
“You look fine, John. Nobody expects you to look posh. I’m questioning the wisdom of this event, not your appearance or mine.”
“It’s just a date, love. We’ve had those quite often over the years.”
“When we go out to dinner, it’s not really a date, as I see it. We’re not getting acquainted. We’re already married. It’s just something we do. I do not object to dates. A double date is something else, though. I don’t like it.”
John turns to face him. “Be nice, husband.”
His tie is still crooked; Sherlock fixes it.
“I’m always nice. And we don’t have to impress them.”
John rolls his eyes. “Fine. You want to stay home? Let them get acquainted by themselves?”
“Dads!”
Together they turn and face their daughter, standing at the door of their bedroom. She looks beautiful, Sherlock thinks.
Even so, he frowns. “You’re not wearing that, are you?”
She rolls her eyes in precisely the way John does. “Yes, I am. No, it isn’t too short. And yes, I am wearing makeup. This isn’t 1895, you know.”
John smiles. “You look lovely, Rosie.”
“Where did you meet this ‘Ben’?” Sherlock gives her a severe look.
“He’s my lab partner in chemistry. Does it matter? Are chemistry boys a bad lot? Do they have questionable motives?”
“All boys have questionable motives.”
“Including the two of you?”
Sherlock frowns; John snorts a laugh.
“So, tell me,” she continues. “Dads. Which of you made the first move? Initiated the first kiss?”
They reply simultaneously. “I did.” Frown at each other.
She laughs. “No wonder it took you so long to realise. Anyway, I already talked to Uncle Myc about Ben—”
“No,” Sherlock says. “Absolutely not. Under no circumstances should you take dating advice from your uncle.”
John shakes his head. “I’m afraid he’s right, Rosie. Your Uncle Mycroft certainly would like us all to think he knows everything, but sentiment is definitely not his area.”
“I mean, I had him run a background check. I knew he’d do it anyway, and it would make you feel better to know Ben’s not a sociopath or something. Uncle Greg said he seems like a nice young man. And he’s a policeman, so he would know.”
“Your Uncle Greg has met him?”
“Yeah, I took Ben down to Scotland Yard to meet him.”
“But— we haven’t met him yet, and we’re your fathers!”
“I know, but Ben is actually quite nervous about meeting you. I thought if he met Greg first, he’d be more relaxed when he meets you two. And Greg can handle Uncle Myc.”
“Will he meet us at the restaurant?” John asks.
“Yes, the Uncles are bringing him. I’ve called a cab for us.” She listens. “It should be here by now— hurry up, Dads. You both look beautiful.”
When she’s gone to check on the cab, Sherlock turns to John. “The Uncles? She’s invited the Uncles? This must be serious.”
John nods. “I think you’re right. She’s dated lots of boys, but this is a first.”
“He won’t like me,” Sherlock says. “People don’t, as a rule. Like me, that is.”
John puts his arms around him. “The first time I met you, didn’t I describe you as charming?”
“I think you said oddly charming. And that was you, John. I was really trying to make you like me, you know.”
“You succeeded. And if Ben can tolerate your brother, he will certainly like you. And he’s reading chemistry, so you’ll have a lot to talk about.”
“We’re not going to talk about the periodic table, discuss our favourite elements.” Sherlock frowns. “What will we talk about? The last murder we solved?”
“Just be yourself.” He kisses Sherlock. “We’ll be ourselves.”
“Dads! Cab’s here!”
Sherlock doesn’t let go of John. “This could change everything.”
John rises up on his toes and gives him another kiss. “She’s not a little girl anymore. I think we always knew this would happen.”
“I’m not ready.”
“I know. Neither am I.”
“What will we do, John?”
“We’ll love him because she does. She’s living her life, and that’s what we’ve always wanted, isn’t it?”
Sherlock sighs, gives himself a final look in the mirror. “I’m going to deduce him over dinner, you know. You can’t stop me from doing that.”
“I know. Just don’t scare him too much.”
“Dads! Stop snogging, or whatever you’re doing! Cab’s here.”
John smiles at him. “Ready?”
He takes John’s hand, kisses it. “I hope… I hope she’ll be as lucky in love as I’ve been.”
“Dads!”
“Let’s go,” he says. “We need to rescue him from my brother.”
I have a confession to make, I'm kinda a ben 10 fan, but I genuinely hate uaf especially omniverse for some that some around it
-I hate how they treated ben's character, he was doing fine during the first season until the mandates wanted him to be "just like the OS" but making him a manchild instead
-and don't get me started on how ben is constantly cheating at julie because they wanted to give ben a "harem" and they doubled it down in omniverse, like ben doesn't even need to have a thing for every girl he fucking met including a clone of his fucking cousin, and elena would be a powerful and interesting foe to ben and that ruins for me when ben is hitting on her when ben and julie are still fricking dating,
-and don't come at me saying that ben's still a teenager, one he's not a fucking baby he should know better, and two the show didn't make him accountable it treated it like it was normal and cute
-and the way they broke up is so distasteful and disrespectful, the fact that they broke over a misunderstanding on a video game and ben didn't bother to call julie after is a cherry on top for all of this, some people defending ben that maybe he's trying to give julie a space but where is it then, the show treated it like it was funny
-they did julie so fucking dirty like what did she do to deserve it, what for being a basic love interest to ben??
-the whole "they gonna kill kevin" thing is so fucking distasteful and mean spirited, like didn't he fucking SACRIFICED himself to save the universe from aggregor or something by corrupting his mind and body, and the first thing ben has in his cranium is to fucking kill him, it would make more sense of kevin's still an antagonist to ben and gwen but no, and gwen's not wanting to kill kevin is just using her fucking braincells
-I hate OV over power creeping ben, I already mentioned this before but omniverse makes me alien x even more
-they treated the whole "everyone is dead the one we spend time with is just a carbon copy" like a normal occurrence not a serious thing, and the fact that ben's more worried over a goddamn smoothie flavor over his family and friends and everyone are fucking dead
-also the fact that the thing he inspires the most is a goddamn talking smoothies not grandpa max or anything than that
-I don't hate rook, but the writers are pretty using him just to amplify how ignorant and incompetent ben is
-kai green is a cherry on top, the show pretty much tells us into our face that "these two are gonna be together and you can't do anything to stop it" by ruining the establishment that they are no such thing as destiny (hench why his older self is different everytime we met him) also multiverse exist too, why this only girl is his "soulmate"?? he could end up with anyone else
-and she only has like minimal screentime too, and this pairing came out of nowhere where it's established that ben x ester is a thing
-and their dynamic is not even that really good, they wanted the "they hate each other but they actually like each other" couple trope but all they did is bicker and nothing else, and not to mention that the show keeps telling us that kai likes ben's aliens more than him
-and also making ben an ignorant douchebag even more just to show how "girl boss" and amazing kai is
and even the reboot is pretty boring and lackluster, guess what, I prefer watching it over uaf and ov, at least they didn't ruin ben and not having shitty story arcs, I could watch it without cringing about ben being a shitty person and a boyfriend and annoying power creeps and bad story arcs
#ben 10#ben 10 alien force#ben 10 ultimate alien#ben 10 omniverse#ben 10 uaf#ben 10 rant#unpopular opinion#hot take#ben 10 is bad#I'll never forgive CN for assassinating ben's character#wow I didn't expect this to be this long lmao
Ok, I've always treated Horrance as a headcanon, but, DAMN, hear me out.
And I'm not even talking about Sparrow Ben, ok? I'm 100% talking about Umbrella Ben and his dear brother Klaus.
Ya'll must be tired of me talking about how Benny boy got visibly upset when Klaus was talking about Dave, even getting to the point of leaving to let him gossip about the guy with Diego in peace.
Or you'll say there's nothing to it when I bring up that time Ben told Klaus that "Luther" would do anything for him, when in reality Ben was talking about himself. (Luther didn't even notice Klaus died) And how that whole thing was a way for Ben to try and keep Klaus sober for longer.
I mean, we all agree they talk to each other as a mixture of brothers AND an old couple that is so fucking tired of their bulshit, but wouldn't change a thing.
And there's that whole thing about Klaus lying about Ben's presence simply because he didn't want to share him.
But as I was watching the second season this time, I picked at some things.
The other day I read someone calling Ben's crush on Jill pointless and, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I disagree. Ben wanting to stay at their cult to hang around her is him mirroring Klaus wanting to leave to be around Dave. Think how nonsense those two are: Klaus is the one who fits being a cult leader and Ben is the one who'd say he's taking advantage of people. But Klaus hates it in there and Ben is the whole reason the cult was able to be built.
Klaus AND Ben knows that it would be better for Jill and Dave if they don't follow what they're currently doing. But Ben doesn't want Jill to leave, selfishly. And Klaus doesn't want Dave to leave, selfishlessly. Which is ridiculous, if you think about how Klaus is mostly the selfish one and Ben is the opposite.
Jill is a lot like Klaus. She's a dissappointment to her family, she uses drugs, she is very open about sex...
Dave, on the other hand, is a lot like Ben. He's serious, he's well mannered, he's thoughtful. He follows his family's ideals in a way that leads him to death... And he likes books, like the nerd he is.
OH, you say, but Jill likes reading too. Ben likes watching her read.
And that's true, yes, but we also know, from season 1, that Klaus and Ben read together. Even when we first see them in 1963, Ben calls Klaus over for him to look at a magazine. It's funny, because Klaus is paying more attention to the guy on the cover, but if you think about this reaction, you get that Ben pointing out what Klaus should grab for them to read is something they're used to. Just like he asks Ben what they should eat.
Ben took notice of Jill because Klaus was too busy with new paople and he was left to the side. Klaus fell for Dave because Ben was not there to occupy his own place.
The cult is their baby and thats one of the reasons Ben is so angry when Klaus goes after baby Dave. The other reason is jealousy, which is the same reason he keeps on interrupting Klaus.
BUT OK, If you've been following my posts for a while, you must've seen me saying these at some point.
The thing I DIDN'T notice was how much they go about dicks and sex? like, FOR WHAT REASON, MAN?
First of all, when Ben steals Klaus' body in that dinner with Reginald, Klaus says with all his words that he was violated.
Then, when he decides to lend Ben the body, he shares his ground rules. "No touchy-touchy down there." he says as Ben rolls his eyes. "I mean, I guess I wouldn't mind." He corrects. "Just don't look, because I'm shy."
The first thing Ben does when he gets inside the body is to look inside Klaus' pants.
Later, when they're talking about the experience (and I must say the way Ben asks how Klaus felt sounds almost like pillowtalk) , Klaus says if felt like sex in a way that is pretty dismissive, I agree, but he says that whatching Ben's every move as he listens. And when Ben tells him how he felt, which was not so weirdly sexual, but still a lot about touching things, Klaus listens leaning against him and without taking his eyes from him.
That dialog, for me, looks like Klaus is flirting, yes, and he's not so sure if its jokingly or not, so he's just owning. Ben, who knows shit about flirsting, is just genuinely into the conversation.
And we can see they're comfortable with sharing things with each other, which is so sweet.
BRAS, YOU'RE STILL REPEATING OTHER POSTS
I know, sorry.
On that flashback where we see Klaus calling Ben back, the FIRST THING he offers Ben is for him to watch as Klaus sticks his dick inside their dad's car for him to piss there. Which is in no way sexual, but is still a childish reason for Klaus to show his dick to Ben.
Just like telling him not to made Ben look at his penis as soon as he got the body.
Soon after the flashback, when they're discussing what to do and Viktor goes to call Sissy, Alisson calls out how Diego and Luther seem to be in a dick measuring contest. To which Klaus starts adding that, for real, he and Ben--
Which I'm assuming is that they did that more than once.
That homoerotic tension of wanting to place your dick besides your bro's just to see how they look together. I mean, who's got the bigger one.
Second season is so fucking Horrancey it makes me embarrassed.
The whole parallel of Ben punching Klaus/Dave punching Klaus and again Ben punching Klaus, but this time sparrow Ben...
Even the whole thing that Dave punches Klaus because Klaus is acting like he knows him and he freaks out in front of his family is exactly the same thing that happens to Sparrow Ben.
And maybe one of the main reasons Klaus is the first one to let go of simping over Sparrow Ben was because of what happened to Dave last season. He knows this Ben could turn into his favorite person, given the time, but he's just probably fuck things up, so why bother?
This Ben still doesn't know he loves Klaus.
Anyway.
Klaus and Ben are that weird teenager friendship that was almost but not exactly a romantic relationship but somehow ended in bad terms when one of them got a real bf.
that's what's happening that season.
#tua#horrance#klaus hargreeves#ben hargreeves#klaus and ben#i didn't put much new things#I guess I just rewatched that shit too many times#but they do enjoy showing each other their penises#which is pretty gay if you ask me
“Dean, whoa…slow down,” you try to keep up with Dean’s long steps. He came to your apartment, and stormed right in, barely greeting you. “What happened? Where is the fire? You said something about an emergency.”
“It’s…you know,” he looks at the manila folders in his hands. Five manila folders filled with everything he’ll need to convince you to agree to his suggestion. “I got an important question. No…I mean.”
“Dean, take a deep breath,” you chuckle. “It’s only me. We are best friends since childhood. There is no need to be nervous around me. I’ve seen all of you. Every side. Even the ugly ones…”
“I want you to have my baby,” he blurs out. You want to laugh and tell him that’s the best joke he ever told you but he looks so serious.Hands clutching the manila folders to his chest he looks at you. “What do you say?”
“You’re not fucking with me, Winchester?” quirking a brow you look at Dean. “Dean, this is a bad idea…or not. I mean…we didn’t even have sex—”
“Oh…no…no!” he chuckles nervously. “We don’t need to have sex. I will beat my meat and use a cup…or something. The doctor said they’ll take my seed and we can use the eggs from her…”
“Her?” you watch Dean open one of the folders to show you the information about an egg donator. “You—you want me to have the baby of another woman? I-I don’t understand. My eggs are just fine.”
“I want you to be my surrogate. I thought it’s easier if the egg is not yours,” you feel like someone just punched you in the guts.
“Oh, my eggs are not good enough for you, huh?” you sarcastically say. “Why do you want me to be a surrogate? I don’t understand.”
“I only want a child, not a relationship, Y/N,” Dean swallows thickly when you turn away from him. “I thought we can do this together. We are friends and you’ll get a lot of money.”
“I don’t want to be a surrogate, you asshole!” you sniffle. “I want a child for so long. We could just…I mean we are best friends. We could’ve had a child together. But you are, just like all the other guys I know – an idiot who won’t settle down. You want a kid without a mother. You selfish prick. What the fuck is wrong with men?”
“Prick? I—no. Sweetheart.”
You start to pace back and forth in your living room.
“There I thought you come around to talk about your plans for Christmas Eve. Now you want me to become your birthing machine,” you groan audibly. “I guess Lisa was right, I should go for an elder man just like her. She found a nice guy and father for Ben.”
“An elder man,” Dean splutters. “What do you mean with an elder man?“
“A DILF. A hot elder guy who is ready to take responsibility and take care of me and his baby,” you nod to yourself. “Someone like your daddy. John is hot with his salt-and-pepper beard, and those hazel eyes.”
“My father? You want my father to give you a baby?” your friend panics now. He chokes on his words and drops the manila folders to the ground. “You can’t do this!”
“Why not? He’s divorced and single. John made you and Sammy,” humming you look at the folders on the floor. “He’ll be a good daddy and father. Maybe I should agree to go out with him next time he asks me out.”
“My father asked you out?” Dean steps closer to you to size you up. “When? How often? Why? I swear I’ll kill him.”
“That’s none of your business, Mr. be my surrogate,” you bite back. “If you want a baby, go, and find someone else playing your birthing machine. I’ll go for your daddy. He will gladly fuck me to get me full of his baby!”
“WHAT?” Dean stutters. “You can’t be serious. My father is a womanizer and he’ll eat you alive. There is no way he’ll give you a baby and raise it with you.”
“Well, it’s enough he wants to fuck me,” you shoot back, hitting Dean hard. “I bet he’s more than willing to give me all the orgasms I need and want. The baby will be a bonus.”
“Sweetheart…no…I…”
You shove Dean toward the door, not stopping when he begs you to listen to him.
“Get out of my home and fuck off. I can’t believe I wasted so much time finding the perfect Christmas gift for you.”
“Y/N, please wait…” you open the door and shove Dean out. “Sweetheart…I’m sorry.”
“No. You’re not,” slamming the door in his face you huff. “Dean Winchester never says he’s sorry and means it. You told me so years ago.”
“Doll, hey,” John jogs after you. He caught a glimpse of you at your favorite café and now he tries to get you to join him for coffee. “Long time no see!”
“Mr. Winchester, hey,” you swallow thickly as you remember the conversation you had with his son not two weeks ago. “How have you been?”
“Good…good,” John smirks as you nervously shake his offered hand. “Dean came around the other day. He asked me a lot of questions.”
“Oh-what kind of questions?” you stammer. “I haven’t seen Dean for the better of two weeks. Whatever he said didn’t have anything to do with you. We got into a fight and…”
“He wanted to know if I ever asked you out,” John smirks. “And he was mad at me for no reason.” The bastard licks his lips; the tip of his tongue poking out of his mouth. “We could give him a reason to be mad at me.”
Fuck, no. Dean went to John and tried to find out if you told him the truth.
“Listen…I’m sorry for dragging you into our fight. I was just so mad at Dean for asking me to become his surrogate.”
“He did what?” John chokes out. “You didn’t get him wrong. Maybe he wanted you to be his baby mama.”
“Right? That was my reaction exactly,” you chuckle humorlessly. “I thought he wants us to have a baby together. I can’t count how many times I told him about my wish for a baby.”
“Dean also told me you are looking for someone more…mature.”
You wish the ground will open and just swallow you. “No—he didn’t.” You whine loudly. “I can’t tell you how sorry I am, John. What I said to Dean…I…I wanted to make him jealous.”
“Don’t be sorry, doll,” John takes another step toward you and cups your cheek with his right hand. “If you want me to be your baby daddy, I’ll do it. I always had a thing for sweet little things like you.”
“John,” you squeak. His cologne fills your nostrils and his hand on your cheek feels a little too warm. “I-I don’t…I didn’t.”
“If you ever change your mind,” he leans closer to peck your nose, “give me a call. If not, you should talk to my son. He’s a mess without you, doll…”
“Y/N!!! OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR OR I’LL KICK IT OPEN!” Dean growls from outside of your apartment. “I know you are home, sweetheart. Please let me in. I got a better idea.”
“Winchester, it’s in the middle of the night,” you open your door to yell at Dean. “I’ve got neighbors, ya know. I’m not like you, owning a whole fucking penthouse.”
“Sweetheart, you’re alive.”
Just now you realize Dean is drunk. He looks at you with glassy eyes, slurs your name, and offers another manila folder to you. “Winchester, what are you doing here?”
“Daddy said you met him this morning,” he sniffs. “He wants to give you a baby but he can’t. I wanna give you a baby.”
Dean drops his gaze to his crotch. “Wait—just lemme get him up. I can give you more than one baby. Just a moment. Fuck…”
He sighs deeply as you watch him pat his cock with the manila folder. “What are you doing Dean? You’re drunk and…” you chuckle as he talks to his cock.
“Get up buddy. We got work to do,” Dean mutters. “Come on. Don’t leave me hanging.” He curses loudly. “You always get up when we are around her. Now we need to make a baby and you won’t—”
“Jesus, come inside,” you grab Dean’s arm to drag him inside your apartment. “Why are you even here?”
“I can’t let you fuck my dad,” Dean grumbles as you shove him toward your sofa. “He’s not going to lay his hands on you, sweetheart. I wanna put my hands on you for too long. He’ll steal you.”
“You’re wasted, Winchester,” you’re angry enough to push Dean down onto your sofa. “I’ll call your brother. Maybe he’s still awake and will pick your drunk ass up.”
“No, I need to show you my plan,” he clumsily opens the manila folder to show you a picture Sam took years ago. You’re sitting on the hood of Dean’s car. He has one arm slung around your shoulders and grins into the camera.
“What’s this?” you frown deeply. “An old picture is your plan. I don’t understand. Do you want some crazy scientist to clone your cocky ass?”
He snickers. “Nah, I wanna fertilize your eggs.” Dean grins dopily. “You know, play hide the salami with you. You and I will have so much sex to get you pregnant.” He nods to himself. “I always knew you’ll become my wife.”
“Dean, you can’t be serious,” you laugh loudly as he starts to unbuckle his belt. “Dean, stop this. I won’t have sex with you.”
“Never?” he hiccups. “But I wanna make a baby with you. I’ll make you cum too.” Dean gives you puppy dog eyes. “Please?”
“Damn you,” patting his thigh you sigh deeply. “You need to sleep the alcohol off. We will talk about it in the morning.”
“…and have sex?” hopefully looking at you Dean pokes your thigh. “Right. We are going to make a baby in the morning.”
“Get up,” you nudge his side. “We need to tug you in bed. You’re too drunk to even think straight.”
You help Dean get back up and guide him out of your living room and toward your bedroom. “You wanna make out with me…I knew it.”
He stumbles toward your bedroom, almost crashing into the door.
“Go into the bedroom and shut up.”
“You can’t wait to get me naked, huh? I like it that you’re bossy,” he purrs. “I’m so tired and drunk.”
You push him inside the room and help Dean to sit down on your bed. “I told you to be silent. Let me just get you out of your shoes.”
After helping him get out of his shoes, coat, and pants you forced Dean to lie down. He didn’t fight you. The moment his head hit the pillow he was out cold.
Now you’re lying next to him, hating yourself for letting him sleep next to you. In the morning you will give him a piece of your mind and send him his way.
“Sweetheart,” you groan as Dean turns around to wrap his arms around your waistline. “You’re so warm, and sexy.” He groans in your ear. “I love you so much, Y/N. Always have. No woman can compare to you.”
You close your eyes and succumb to the much-needed sleep, ignoring the warm feeling spreading through your body.
“Please don’t kick me out,” Dean pleads. “I fucked up big time. You must know that I got a baby fever when I saw Sammy with his twins. I thought about my past relationships and realized none of the women I was with would want a baby with me.”
“So, you decided on turning me into a surrogate. I must say, this was a first for me,” you shake your head. “No guy I dated ever had the guts to turn me into a birthing machine.”
“Y/N, you’re my best friend and I never wanted to hurt you. It’s just,” he paces back and front all the while frantically running his fingers through his hair. “I want a family and asking you to become my surrogate was the closest thing to having a family.”
“You could’ve asked me for advice. Everything would’ve been better than this,” you point at the manila folders he forgot some weeks ago. “How could you hurt me like that? You didn’t even want my eggs…”
“I’d love to have your eggs,” you giggle through your tears. “Shit, that’s even worse. I—” he sighs deeply. “I love you, Y/N. Always have. I just never thought you would reflect my feelings.”
“We are friends for how long?” you roll your eyes. “I was there. Every time you needed someone to talk to or a shoulder to lean on. You’re the one I turn to when I need advice or just someone to talk to. Of course, I love you too.”
“Thank fuck,” Dean swallows thickly. “Before I offer to be your baby daddy, I’d like to ask you on a date. Please…”
beep!
beep!
beep!
brown eyes snapped open as aidhel sat up in her bed. her eyes scanned the pitch black room in panic, before calming down when she saw the familiar moon light by the window on her room. she heard rustles beside her and turned her head to look at the source but winced. aiden had stood up to turn on the lights. he grinned when he saw his sister cover her eyes, she really didn't like sudden light when she just woke up.
ben had also woken up from beside her, and rubbed his eyes tiredly. you may think this is weird since they're all teenagers but they're all sleeping in the same bed. well ever since this whole transporting thing from one realm to another started happening, the three of them thought it was best to sleep together in one room before and after midnight stroke. aidhel had long lost the ability to sleep on her own since it happened. she was too paranoid to be alone at night anymore, she feared that one of those monsters will be there lingering in the dark. waiting for her to lower her guard before pouncing on her.
ben and aiden, being sweethearts that they are offered their company. but in truth, the both of them were hella scared too but she doesn't need to know that now does she? anyways, aiden walked over to her and smiled, "ya good?" he asked with a tilt of his head.
aidhel huffed but nonetheless smiled back and flicked his forehead. "yeah, i'm good." she said softly. aiden winced and rubbed the spot before chuckling. he then stood up to get their phones by her night stand. after handing it to them, they all simultaneously turned it on and checked their group chat.
logan: is everyone okay?
frances: define okay
ashlyn: 👍
aiden: that was close
aidhel: we were almost done for
taylor: physically yes
tyler: mentally no
ben: did anyone finished the homework?
aidhel turned to look at ben and smirked, "you didn't do it did you?" she asked and ben just sheepishly scratched his nape. aiden raised a brow at her, "you did?" he asked in disbelief.
aidhel frowned at him, not liking the tone of his voice. "why do you sound so shocked? i always do my homework." she said while narrowing her eyes at him. aiden laughed before raising both his hands in surrender to her. "woah calm down tiger, good for you."
frances: we had homework?
ashlyn: screw it
tyler: ^
taylor: ^
aidhel chuckled at ashlyn's response and immediately went to chat her. aiden had already stood up to walk to his sister's study stable. ben looked at aidhel then at aiden and thought to himself whether or not he should do his or not. he decided what's best for him and moved to follow aiden. he really didn't want an earful from aidhel about not doing homeworks. she'll threaten to tell his mom and he didn't want an earful from her too.
aidhel looked up from her phone and looked at her boys, "you guys are seriously gonna do it?" she asked with a raised brow. she wanted to giggle at the sight, ben and aiden sat together in her pink study table. since their things were in their room and they were too lazy to get it, they were using her things to answer their homework. imagine the serious faces of aiden and ben while using unicorn themed pens.
aiden looked back at her and grinned, already dropping his serious facade. "yeah! so i can give it to ashlyn tomorrow." he said beaming at her before turning back to his paper. ben looked at her and shrugged before doing his own as well. aidhel paused before biting her lip as she looked down at her phone. she had already sent the copy of her homework to ashlyn just a second ago. oh well, at least he's doing his homework.
she laid back to her bed and opted to watch tiktoks as she waited for the two of them. hell would freeze over before she sleeps without them on the bed. she needed the reassurance that she wasn't alone, and sleeping alone isn't that. she had nightmares of those monsters every night since their fieldtrip, when it all began. ben and aiden were getting worried and did the best they can to help her regain her sleeping schedule back. and sleeping altogether seems to slightly do the trick. the comfort of being with someone you trust the most while you sleep was enough to calm her mind. although she still gets nightmares, it wasn't as often as before since they arranged this.
"do you guys think if we die there, we'll also die here?" she asked out loud out of curiosity. she remembered the last thing that happened when they were there earlier. the monster was just a second away from pouncing at them. what if they were there for much longer? and one of them died? will they die in here too?
ben and aiden both stopped at writing and pondered over the idea. aiden shrugged, "maybe?" he said not entirely sure of his answer. ben just pursed his lips and scribbled his answer on a scratch paper. aiden took it and began reading its content, "its not impossible. since our bodies are connected in both realms." aiden read out loudly.
aidhel hummed, considering his answer. "thats scary, we should really be careful in there." she muttered out loud as she placed her phone in her stomach. she looked back at them and frowned, "finish that already and let's sleep." she said with a frown.
almost immediately, the two boys simultaneously turned to finish their homework. aidhel grinned, glad of the authority she had even though she was youngest. she wanted to applaud them, the both of them are oddly synchronous tonight- or morning.
after a while, aiden finished first. he stood up and stretched his arms tiredly. he looked back to ben who was still writing and gestured his own work to him, "just copy mine." he said with a smile. ben beamed and immediately went to check aiden's answers but paused. aiden had the worst writing between the three of them, it never seemed to improve. he reasoned that as long as he understands it, it was enough. ben sighed and pushed it back, he can do it on his own.
it didn't took him long enough, ben finished within a minute after aiden. aidhel then turned to charge her phone while ben arranged the things on her study table. aiden had already plopped on the bed and was getting cozy under the duvets. after turning the lights off, ben laid on the other side of the girl.
"goodnight guys." aidhel murmured before closing her eyes. the two boys then wrapped their arms around her. it was purely platonic, so haters out there better shut their mouth. aiden kissed his sister's forehead before they drifted into deep slumber.
---
aidhel was the first one to wake up. the moment she did, it was still dark. she blinked a bit before yawning tiredly. the alarm by her nightstand started to beep and she raised a brow. for the first time in a while, she woke up before her alarm. however, the two boys beside her groaned at the sound. they all fell asleep joined together in the middle but they woke up in different positions. aiden was close to falling, as he groaned and tried to rolled over, he finally fell to the floor. at the loud thud, ben suddenly sat up and looked around the place worriedly.
aidhel leaned to her nightstand to turn the alarm off before pointing to aiden who was already sitting up on the floor. ben sighed and rubbed his eyes tiredly before standing up. he gestured to the door and aidhel hummed, she knew what he meant. he slowly walked to his room to get ready for school. aidhel unplugged her phone before looking at her brother. aiden has his eyes closed while sitting and made no move to stand up.
aidhel rolled her eyes and leaned to pat his head softly. "go get ready, aiden." she instructed softly to him. aiden opened his eyes and blinked, before nodding and sluggishly walking to his room. aidhel stood up as well and fixed her bed before going to the bathroom to get ready as well.
it only took her ten minutes to get ready. she emerged from the bathroom all neat and clean. she walked over to her closet and browsed through her clothes. she settled for her cargo pants and an oversized tee. she wasn't feeling anything bright so the color of her clothes were monotoned for today.
she put her things on her bag and picked up the homework that ben and aiden had done last night. she walked down the stairs and went straight to the kitchen. the maids were already up and going, cleaning and preparing the things to cook for when they get home. as aidhel entered, one of the maids immediately walked to her and handed her a tumbler.
aidhel beamed and smiled gratefully, "thank you julie." she thanked the woman and took the tumbler. julie nodded with a smile before going back to her tasks. aidhel immediately took a sip of the tumbler and sighed, it was great to start the day with caffeine.
she walked back to the living room and checked the time, "ben! aiden! c'mon let's go!" she called out loudly to the boys. not a minute later, ben emerged from his room and walked down the stairs. it looked like he just changed his shirt and got his bag, ready for the day. he looked so tired, the eye bags were evident and he can barely keep his eyes open. aidhel winced for him, "want some?" she asked and gestured her tumbler at him.
ben raised a brow and shook his head, he wondered whats in it but remembered how much of a caffeine addict she was. they both looked at each other when they heard a thud from upstairs and both sighed together. aiden speed walked from his room to the stairs. unlike ben, aiden changed his clothes altogether. he smiled at them while walking down and skipped one of the step before standing in front of them.
"let's go!" he said before marching outside the house. aidhel and ben followed suit behind him. immediately so, their school bus appeared just right on time. aiden entered first and sat himself to their usual seat. ben moved to sit beside him while aidhel sat by herself on the seat in front of them both. aiden hummed to himself while watching the bus move. when he saw ashlyn's house, his eyes visibly lit up and he patted ben excitedly. ben winced and moved to switch places with him, already knowing the drill.
aidhel laughed when she looked to see the commotion behind her. "didn't even bothered to hide your excitement." she commented teasingly and aiden just smiled at her. they both looked at ashlyn as she slowly walked to the sit beside aidhel. "hey ash." aiden greeted first, smiling brightly unlike his seatmate who looked dead beside him.
"good morning." aidhel greeted with a smile. ashlyn tiredly smiled at her and they both clinked their tumblers of coffee. its been a routine now that they sit together since their first day, ashlyn thought that she was tolerable enough and wanted no one else to sit beside to. aidhel offered her a calming presence, she always understood how she felt and never pressured her to whatever they have now. over the short period time that they had been together, she can say that she had finally warmed up to someone.
ashlyn sat herself beside her and leaned her head back tiredly with a soft groan. ben and her had a matching expression, looking as if though a dementor from harry potter performed the 'kiss' on them. aiden suddenly popped up from the top of the seat, just right above her head making her jump in surprise. "last night was rough huh?"
she watched how his head disappeared for a moment, hearing the rustles and humming behind her. aiden bent down to get his bag and opened it to fetch his homework from last night. the clark siblings had almost the same brand of bags but as they customized it to match their personalities, you'd know who's who. aiden always chose to personalized his things with smiley faces. while aidhel always chose to personalize hers with floral designs like embroidery or flower pins.
"i finished the homework." ashlyn looked at the homework he had presented from beside her face. "wanna copy?" he offered, leaning against the seat and smirked at her. ashlyn looked down at the paper then back to him.
'his energy never ceases does it?' she thought, imagining him humming happily while doing his homework late at night. "i already did mine." ashlyn said, looking at him unblinking. aiden paused mid-air and turned to look at aidhel, who visibly shrunk on her seat.
aiden pouted in a downcast manner, "you sent it didn't you?" he asked poking his sister's arm. aidhel sheepishly looked at him and let out an awkward laugh, "i already sent it before you told me your gonna do it." she defended herself. aiden kept his pout and went back to his seat with his arms crossed childishly.
ashlyn just closed her eyes and listened as aidhel attempted to appease her brother for the rest of the bus trip. even when they arrived at the school, aiden refused to speak with his sister. ashlyn and ben just tiredly followed after them both as they led them to their first class.
aidhel pouted at her brother but quickly erased it when they finally reached their room. "good morning mr. walter!" she greeted their homeroom teacher energetically.
mr. walter looked up to her with a smile. "good morning..?" he drawled out when he took in the appearances of his students. ashlyn and ben majorly contributed to the gloomy aura they all let out. the both of them looked drained to the core. the coffee in ashlyn's hand did little effort to help her wake up. aiden had his arms crossed and seemed to be in a feud with his sister. aidhel on the other hand just illuminated sunshine beside them with her coffee induced energy.
mr. walter looked at them worriedly with a smile, 'they're like this every morning now. do they stay up all night?'
before
"good morning." ashlyn greeted the teacher, with no any other emotion. she brushed past the teacher's desk when mr. walter acknowledged her and went straight to her seat.
"g'morning." aiden said cooly as he led their little trio. aidhel elbowed him harshly making him double back in pain. "good morning mr. thomas." aidhel greeted with a smile as she ignored her brother's wince. ben just settled for a nod of acknowledgement to the teacher.
"good morning mr. thomas!" logan greeted with a smile as he entered the room.
"good day, mr. walter!" frances greeted as she jogged inside the room. mr. walter had to bite back a laugh when the girl almost slipped on her feet.
"morning." tyler greeted nonchalantly while her sister waved, "morning!" taylor greeted with a smile. she always had much more enthusiasm than her twin brother.
now
mr. walter watched taylor sleep with her head down on the table. he had to jump back in surprise when he heard her suddenly drop on the table. tyler wasn't any better, the boy practical swayed in his seat. exhaustion decorated his face and the eye bags were evident in the boy's eyes.
logan had his head thrown back and was fading in and out of consciousness. frances didn't even bothered to fight it, her chin was propped on her palm as she slept. she was staring at the board earlier and really tried to stay awake but it was too strong. a minute after she sat and she was already nodding off.
ashlyn and ben both zombie-walked to their seats. aidhel was still trying to coax her brother to talk to her but the boy was adamant on ignoring her. its been a while since he got sulky and he was milking in his sister's attention. aiden yawned and sat on his seat while aidhel pouted at him.
"everyone get your homework out please." mr. walter called out and he watched as the rest of his students moved to fetch their works. ashlyn completely blacked out on everything because the moment she put her head down, everything went black until she was rudely awoken by the loud ringing of the bell.
she jolted awake from the loud sound. the drool on her face was evidence of sleep. 'crap. i slept through class again.' she scolded herself when she glanced at the clock and saw it was already nearing lunch. she took a look around and realized that she wasn't the only one to sleep in the class. she wondered in those two hours why mr. walter didn't attempted to wake them up.
aiden, aidhel and logan were the only ones to stay awake. logan was fighting for his life, while aiden was busy playing with his rubiks cube. aidhel just attentively listened to the lecture. the remaining ones look dead though. ben didn't even flinched at the bell. while frances, tyler and taylor had the same annoyed expressions of being woken up suddenly.
'at this rate, we're gonna fail.' ashlyn thought to herself while wiping the drool of her face. 'but not much you can do in our situation.'
as the teacher dismissed the class, ashlyn slowly put her things back in her bag. she frowned, she hadn't even used it the whole time she was in the class.
"ashlyn!"
she looked up to the call her name. aiden stood in front of her with his hands inside his hoodie pockets. "we're all eating lunch together." he said with a smile. ben stood beside him exhausted and was leaning on aidhel for support. the girl held him while sipping her coffee. frances and logan walked together sluggishly while the twins couldn't even function properly to walk.
"y'know to talk about the stuff." aiden informed rather secretly. he even went as far as covering the side of his face, to make it look so suspicious. 'he always says 'stuff'. does he means the phantoms?' she thought as she finished putting her things back on her bag. she sighed before standing up. 'this should go well..' ashlyn just hummed impassively, "alright."
@hphm-ship-week Prompt 7: Ball
Years ago I was assigned the Celestial Ball for a quest rewrite event started by @carewyncromwell and completely didn't do it. Here's a scene from what I would have written
Ship: Quinn/Jae 🧚🏼♀️🤷🏻♂️
Date: April 22nd, 1989 (fifth year)
Content warning: A lot of swearing (Quinn's a sailor mouth) and a reference to underage drinking (doesn't actually occur)
Quinn toyed with a ruffle on her dress - magically altered, of course, because she was not going to wear a child's ball gown and nothing age appropriate was her size - and huffed another sigh. She should never have let her friends convince her to come tonight. The only parties Quinn went to were the ones hosted before every Quidditch match, where it was easy enough to make a quick appearance before fleeing with the excuse of needing to center herself.
Plus, at the Quidditch parties she could hide behind Skye's much louder personality. She sighed. Quinn hated that her whole team was older than her. None of them were here. Tonks was supposed to be staying with her, but had been dragged away by Tulip for some stupid prank that Tulip promised wouldn't ruin everyone's night. Quinn had her doubts about that. Her night was already ruined, because she was here and she was alone.
Shitty fucking best friend, abandoning her.
Most of the fifth years were on the dance floor. She had to admit that the planning committee had picked good music, but she didn't feel like humiliating herself by trying to dance. No, the snack table was where she'd be all night. Maybe Rowan and Ben's offer to 'not go' together was still available? Watching them play chess in the library or something had to be better than standing here sweating her ass off.
Quinn grabbed a cup of punch, telling herself that if Tonks wasn't back in ten minutes, she was gone. And she was taking the plate of chocolate pretzels with her.
"Want me to spike that?"
Punch went down the wrong pipe when Quinn jumped. Jae smacked her back as she coughed, laughing out an apology. Oh fuck, that was so embarrassing; that was not cute at all and now he probably thought she was even weirder.
Jae leaned against the wall next to her after she caught her breath. "You seem tense," he observed.
"Y-yeah," Quinn said, checking that she didn't cough any punch onto her dress.
"Not a party fan?"
"Nope."
"Yeah, me either," Jae said. "I'm mostly here for the snacks. I was serious, by the way. If you want something to take the edge off, I've got a little firewhiskey. Free of charge. Looks like you need it more than me."
She really did consider it, but Quinn shook her head. "Too many professors. Not worth the risk."
Jae smirked. "Ah, yeah, I forgot: Slytherins are cowards."
"Excuse me?" Quinn demanded. "Who's the one who's closed three damn Cursed Vaults? 'Cause it wasn't a fucking Gryffindor."
He nudged her arm, smug. "There ya go."
Quinn frowned. "Huh?"
"Not nervous anymore, are ya?" Jae clarified, and Quinn felt her face heat up.
"You did that on purpose," she accused.
Jae snatched a handful of Bertie's off of the snack table and carelessly tossed a handful in his mouth before saying, "Guilty."
Quinn hated that not only had she fallen for it, it had worked. She still didn't want to be here, but he'd distracted her enough that her nerves were much less erratic. It was only a matter of time before she said something stupid or did something stupid and Jae walked away to never talk to her again, though, and the night would be back to being a bunch of bullshit.
She toyed with a ruffle again, staring at her own nails against the fabric. They'd never been painted before because she was worried it would make her fingers look stumpier, but the shiny black polish actually looked nice with her skin tone just like Skye had said. Skye had been very invested in getting Quinn to the ball once it had been announced. It was one of those experiences, she'd said. Quinn had to go. Well, here she was, and this experience wasn't feeling worth it.
Jae passed her a plate full of chocolate pretzels.
"Those are your favorite, right?"
Shocked, Quinn just blinked at him.
"Tonks made sure to tell me," he said. "She was insistent I come check on you."
Bitch, she thought. Meddling fucking bitch.
"Nice dress," Jae continued. "I don't think I've ever seen you in pink before. Suits you."
Nerves were back.
Quinn gulped. "Thanks. Skye picked it out. I like your robes."
"Thanks. Tonks practically made me buy these, for some reason. She insisted they'd look good on me."
Jae really did look good. He must have gotten the robes customized; they fit him perfectly despite the fact that he shared her unfortunate height situation. Being short had never seemed to bother him, though. She wondered if he truly didn't care or if he was just good at hiding it.
Her eyes narrowed. His robes had pink accents that matched her dress.
Oh, those conniving fucking bitches. Skye and Tonks were trying to set her up - and Tulip was probably in on it too, getting Tonks away from Quinn so that she was alone when Jae came over. Fucking hell.
Jae's eyes narrowed, gears turning in his brain as he reached a similar conclusion.
"Clever," he said.
Quinn huffed. "Not what I'd call them."
He laughed, nudging her arm again. Despite the terrible betrayal, Quinn found herself starting to smile too. Jae's laugh was contagious.
"Hey, you want to dance?" he asked. "I think it'd make them lose their minds."
Bad idea. Very bad idea: she didn't know how to dance. But you know what? Fuck it. Jae probably didn't know how to dance either, and it would absolutely make Tonks freak out.
She smirked. "Yeah, sure."
#hogwarts mystery#hphmshipweek24#sabrina quinn mercurenius#jae kim#quae#my writing#special mentions to the conniving bitches:#nymphadora tonks#skye parkin#I wanted the celestial ball to be in fifth year instead of fourth so that the detention storyline had already happened#so they're kinda friends when this scene happens#quinn is so different from my other mcs because she's the main character in the way the game wants her to be#(both cursed vaults and quidditch instead of one or the other)#but that made me give her a different main friend group so she's also the most different from the game's intentions#so she's very fun to write for
Is life flashing before your eyes?
"let's play hide and seek darcy" Then she followed Ben to a closet, he covered her ears and stayed there for probably hours until someone opened the door and Ben was ready to fight them only to notice it was the police man.
...
"promise me you won't leave?" "i won't"
And then whenever one moved to a foster home, the other one would go too even if it meant fighting whoever tried to separate them.
...
"i'm not hungry, you can eat it." Because Darcy had noticed how he would give her most of the food he'd find and going to sleep hungry. It was bad enough they had only a crappy tent and a blanket as a home.
...
"we kind of decided... to change our last name." The face on Sara and Dan lit up but waited for the siblings to finish their sentence before getting their hopes on.
"we want to be lewis." Darcy said with a smile and then the hugging and crying started, this was the best of times.
...
"fitz, they're gone."
It wasn't fair. Just a few years with them and then it was all gone. What were they going to do? What was she going to do? She still had Ben but she needed her mom, how was she going to do this without her mom?
...
The screaming and excitement after reading the acceptance letter, Ben telling her he knew she'd get in. The packing, dropping her in college and being alone was rough, but at least there was an internship she got an eye on, maybe if she was lucky enough.
...
"so we're supposed to go back to work as if a no.rse god didn't just showed up and lived with us for a while?"
"yes, darcy but i've got an idea that could help us communicate with him." Jane always had a great idea in mind, except when it comes to pizza, but Darcy adored her. Hey, maybe she should change her major.
...
"imma cut your toes." She wasn't serious. But it was fun to mess with agents and his face was hilarious.
"excuse me? you’re not getting anywhere near my toes." And then she said something about his fingers, making a jar collection or a necklace.
...
"you sure we won't get caught?" A giggle escaping her lips as they were sneaking to the throne room, L.oki just laugh and shook his head.
"don't worry, i've got it covered."
...
"c'mon darcy, let's get you out of this apartment." Jane basically pushing her out while Ben had her stuff in boxes, Darcy barely listening as she remembered his last words, and the huge mistake she just made a few hours earlier talking to Jin.
...
"congratulations dr lewis." Cheering, claps, and lots of hugs and congratulations from everyone who went to see her dissertation. She laughed, she cried, but it was fine because the most important people were there with her.
...
"this isn't an island." And disappointing Kartika, even if Darcy tried to reach out, the other doctor would just ignore her calls.
...
"dandy, tom, this is orion and he's gonna be staying with us." Dandy got close to the husky and sniffed him, then she was wagging her tail and Orion was wagging his too. Tom took longer to get used to the new dog, but at least they all nap together now.
...
"my carpet, man." Okay, a lot more happened and maybe the carpet wasn't as important as being alive but Jane gave her that carpet and to think it was used to... No. No thanks. But it was done now and she was safe.
...
"oh my god, this is going to be the most dramatic season ever!" "they always say that darce." But it was fun to watch this show with company, and forget about their problems for a while.
...
She looked out the window of the airplane, thinking if her friends were still at the airport or if they ran as soon as she walked through the gate.
...
Darcy was so tired. Maybe it was for the best, everyone knew she needed a rest and maybe this was it. She had regrets though, and it would suck to leave without fixing them.
#drabble#t; while i close my eyes hold me through this night.#long post#im forgetting stuff but im like i dont know my own timeline shh
It’s CMA-
What crushes me about the lothany plotline is the inherent tragedy of two people never believing that they are good enough for the other.
I feel like we have a good understanding of Anthony and why he’d feel that way, but have we gotten any more details on why Lottie feels that way? Sorry if this has been addressed before
The thing that stumps me is this: Lottie grew up in a loving home environment like Ben, generally comes across as being pretty emotionally healthy, and had many healthy relationships modeled to her growing up. In addition, seemingly no one knew about lothany before it happened.
So that begs the question: was there a specific incidence in which Lottie had the crushing realization that Anthony would (supposedly) never love her? (Apparently I’m in an angsty mood today) like did someone confront her and tell her it was never going to happen?
I’m just surprised by her general optimism waning in this area. Or I wonder if it was the years of having no real suitors (indirectly because of Ben, through no fault of his own) that led her to feel undesirable, to cause her to think that she was unworthy in some way.
In which case I wonder if her general optimism doesn’t come from being an emotionally healthy person with a positive self-view, but rather an emotional insecurity about her own worth that leads her to either having a) a need to make the people around her feel good to make herself feel desirable or b) (the likelier option imho) that she knows what it’s like to feel terrible about herself/the world and never wants anyone else to feel that way.
We know that the ton for years made comments about her because of her supposed relationship with Benedict; I am willing to bet (I’m not sure if this has been elaborated on) that they made comments tearing her apart for every single thing about her (I know that that was mentioned early on when everyone was telling clover that Lottie and Ben were together). As a result, this probably shattered her self worth. I
I am wondering if this ever led to her isolating and/or distancing herself from Benedict, or if it led to any other mental health struggles (eg depression/anxiety).
Idk I just feel like i want the entire Lottie backstory tbh lol
Oooh this is such a great question love! ❤️
This actually hasn't been addressed before so let's talk about this! ❤️
Lottie is a very optimistic person and she tries to make everyone around her feel happy as well🥰 But she was very insecure when it came to Anthony loving her, and her friendship with Benedict played a huge part in it ❤️
So you're absolutely right, the ton was convinced Lottie and Benedict were a thing even before Lottie made her debut ❤️ That led to some really heavy jealousy, because the other debutantes felt like she had already "claimed" him, and they were given no chance to try and get with him 😏 And Benedict was a very popular bachelor; he is handsome and talented and rich, and everyone is convinced he will be the next big artist 😏
So that led to everyone criticizing every single thing she did, and at first it was about how Benedict should "keep his options open" and then when they didn't get engaged during her debut season, it turned into how Benedict was not serious about courting her 💔 And even though Lottie is overall a happy person, there is no way she didn't hear those rumors about her and Benedict's so called courtship 💔
So Lottie was led to have those insecurities because of the rivalry for Benedict's affections I think! ❤️
8. for one muse to get caught hiding an injury sustained while protecting them (For Mary! I guess in the cross-fire of finally confronting those men who hurt her initially?)
The camp should all be in their tents by now, giving Mary the time she needed to work in privacy. Thomas had fallen asleep on his cot hours earlier, clutching his little toy soldier in his hand. Brushing her fingers lightly over her son’s curls, she kissed his forehead gently before retreating to the other side of their quarters.
Taking a deep breath, she undid her shirt and slid it off, carefully folding it up and placing it on the table next to the lamp. Rolling up her undershirt sleeves, she sat down on the stool and swiftly began undoing the bandages wrapped around her right arm. The dirty cloth was tossed on the floor, destined for the fire where she could destroy it before Ben or anyone spotted the evidence. Fresh ones sat in the basket on the table. Holding her arm closer to the light, she bit down on her lip. The gash on the back of her arm was healing nicely as far as she could tell. No puffiness… no suspicious red lines flowing away from the injury… and the edges seemed to be joining together properly. Dipping a cloth in a bowl of hot water, she began cleaning her arm carefully. She knew she was fortunate to have hidden this injury from Benjamin for so long. He had been so distracted dealing with the soldiers who had assaulted her, he never noticed the sleeve of her dark dress growing darker from the blood in precisely the spot she rose her arm to protect her face from a knife wielded by one of the men. She had been able to slip away and bandage her injury before he came to check on her. When he did, she lied and insisted her nerves were rattled, but nothing more serious had occurred. So far, the Major had accepted her answers. How long that could go on, she had no idea, but she would accept her victories where and when she found them. Dipping the cloth back in the water, she continued cleaning her injury. That was the key right there—regularly washing the area should help the cut knit properly.
#Muse: Mary Woodhull#honorhearted#Mary/Ben--'Cause Nobody Wants to Be the Last One There and Everyone Wants to Know that Someone Cares#I opted to go with the idea that she's been hiding it for a bit#and Ben will only find out if he shows up unannounced for some reason XD#also did SOME research and it seems that wearing skirts and sperate tops WAS a fashion option for women in the 1700s Colonies so opted for t#that instead of traumatizing Ben completely XD
